Food order was very wrong, even after the order was repeated and shown on the screen. Two # 3 combos with extra onions, tots, and drinks. Order was brought out and only one combo and an extra burger arrived. Told the carhop and someone else came out with the receipt and said they could make this right, but since I paid with a card, the order would have to be refunded and then the card be ran again? Why? Just go back and get the tots and Dr. Pepper that was missing. Was told that could not be done and we would have had to pay that again. We were pretty upset at this time and told them to refund the card and they can have the food that was brought out originally back. Got the refund and then left and visited Braums across the street for our meals. What I do not understand is how the order was repeated exactly how it was ordered and even showed on the screen, but totally wrong when it got to our car? Will not be eating at this Sonic for a while.

Sonic used to be one of my go-to spots, but lately it's been a bit disappointing. First off, they no longer offer malts, which was one of my favorite treats—definitely a letdown. On top of that, the credit card readers are almost always down or glitching, which makes paying more frustrating than it should be. And if you're ordering a cherry limeade, don't count on getting the cherry—more often than not, it's missing. The food and drinks are still decent when everything works, but the overall experience just isn't what it used to be.

Listen I woke up wanted sum breakfast an so I came to this Elgin sonic a got this bacon breakfast burrito a let me tell you it is amazing. I found my new favorite fast food breakfast restaurant forget McDonald’s and Braum’s come here mm mm mmmmm yum
Went for breakfast this morning. Tried to order 4 or 5 times. Employees would never try to take my order. Several cars that arrived after I did had their orders taken. After about 10 minutes I finally left to get food from somewhere else. Terrible service this morning.

While I'm not a fan of their burgers, I don't think it's specific to this Sonic. Other items are fine, but if you've ordered strawberry limeades in the past and they've been reddish-pink, don't expect that from this one. The last one I ordered was just Sprite with a tiny bit of strawberry at the bottom and the drink just tasted like Sprite. When I asked about it, they said this was how they always make them (which isn't true, my daughter used to work at this location). If a manager can comment and confirm that their strawberry limeades are indeed reddish-pink and not clear, that would be helpful.
