First off staff was friendly and apologetic Food took an hour after ordering Was offered a cake for the long wait but that never came our way. The new York steak was ¼ inch thick and chewy and dry the shrimp came out on top of half a tsb of rice. Our chicken order came out wrong and what they brought out was dry. I honestly won't go back again. Big disappointment came out on a friend's recommendation

Stopped in one night on the return leg of a cross-country motorbike ride. Ordered the 14 oz. Rib Eye cooked medium, a house salad, a baked potato, and a tall brown ale. I rarely gush, especially over food. But it was one of those rare moments when I didn’t want it to end. Every morsel was perfection. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was blissfully peaceful, the décor unpretentious, the location convenient. How can you go wrong?
Don’t know if it’s the location in the heart of cattle country or if Fred just has a knack for selecting the best USDA Prime. Whatever it is, I had the tastiest Rib Eye steak I’ve ever eaten and a baked potato that seemed to go on forever.
I’d go there every week if I didn’t live 1,600 miles away. Alas.

My family loves Fred's steakhouse. We eat there every time we come to Elk City. We have been there at least 4 times since my mother in law moved there a year ago. We're usually a group of 8 at the least and sometimes 10, depending on who can meet there to eat and visit.

Low key family steak house with a laid back atmosphere and great priced yummy 😋 food. I highly recommend the serloin steak or chicken fried steak options. The sides are plentiful and good. I would add this to your weekly rotation for a solid large menu option.
