Well, well, what do you know... I am not even thinking about food, and what do I see out of the corner of my eye? Another Mi Tierra hidden and tucked in this shopping mall, just there so conveniently waiting for any lost souls in need of coming back to life. And alive I did come back. I quickly parked and ran out to the front door, ready to eat whatever appeals to my eyes or any of my other senses.
As I walked in, I could feel tranquility and peace. The restaurant was empty, no customers. A single waiter welcomed me with a smile and offered me a table. A drink and chips followed. A quick glance at the menu and I was ready to order.
The menu had a lot of items and small font. For me, it's easy to read, but I can't imagine an older person or a person with trouble seeing.
The lunch menu had solid items that I consider a must in any Mexican lunch menu. All I have to recommend is that your menu be organized a bit less crowded. It can be organized with fewer items and yet still be a solid menu.
As I waited, which was not very long, I took a trip to the bathroom to wash up but also to check for cleanliness and design. The bathrooms were just the right size and properly cleaned and designed.
Back to my table, the food was ready.
I must say, the red salsa that came with the chips was so good that I saved it for my food. The salsa was such a hit I would buy bottles of it and take it home if I could! The salsa made the beef flautas ten times better!
The other salsa and the white stuff, I didn’t really care for it. I recommend that you offer it upon request because it feels bad knowing it's going to be wasted.
So, here are some recommendations starting from the entrance:
Your façade blends too much with the two businesses on each side. The sign on the roof makes it stand out, but the windows need a different way to stand out.
The menu. It really is no big deal, but I bet it would make your main dishes really stand out, making your kitchen pantry have fewer items and save money on less popular items. I would pick the 20 most favorite dishes and focus on those, and then create a lunch menu based on those items. People will remember your menu so well that they will order without it!
I would recommend sizing the chips and salsa according to the number of guests. If one person only comes in, the chips and salsa offered can be smaller, therefore minimizing waste when the guest doesn’t eat them.
Other than that, you guys are really making a difference and providing the comfort food we all love with a clean, modern style!
Oh, and one more thing — your prices are awesome!! Ten bucks and some change for the flautas, chips, and salsa — that’s the real deal!
Gracias!!!

I am not a big fan of Mexican food, but this place is very good. Normally, you fill up on chips but not here. Theor food is worth the short wait. There red and cheese sauce is fantastic.

The quality of the food, the portions, and the service is great. This is authentic, traditional Mexican food. Little to no seasoning/spice on anything. The food is a black hole for flavor. My wife emptied the salsa bowls on her salad. It was still unresponsive in taste. It could not be revived. Even a liberal sprinkling of salt and pepper disappeared in to the flavor vacuum.
I had the Carnitas with chili Verde, rice and a side of charro beans. The texture of the food was the only differentiating feature between bites of beans, rice and the pork chili Verde. Very little spice. The portion of pork was very generous. A half pound or better.
There were group of Hispanic workers seated at a string of tables in the center of the restaurant, enjoying lunch when we entered. They soon left and seven more came in to dine. The restaurant is well liked by folks that know, and appreciate authentic traditional Mexican food.
If your preference is very mildly seasoned Mexican food you will be happy here. As I stated in the beginning of this review, the quality of the food, the portions, and the service is great. I need spice.

Place came recommend by our grandson. And he was right on the money. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Place was very clean. Food is top notch and very generous portions. The empanadas ate outstanding. GREAT place for Mexican food in the Tulsa area. We would highly recommend.

We love this place. We eat or do carry out often. I called in an order for salsa only today for pick up. The man who checked me out wanted me to place a tip and referred me to the line on the receipt on top of an extra fee for using a ccard. Really?? I’m 64 years old. If you ask me for a tip, you will receive nothing. Come on, do better. Don’t beg
