We love going to 1909. It was very busy and our steaks were overcooked as we ask for medium rare. They also forgot out salads. Waitress was great refilling our tea frequently. The other time we went for steaks before covid 19, the steaks were perfect!! We will defInitely go back for another steak night. So glad 1909 is open again!!

Our service was good and the food was perfect, I had shrimp tacos with side of portobello fries with blue cheese crumbles. The majority of side went home with me for lunch next day. Got Keylime pie to go which was better than mine!

Went there on a Saturday night to cap off our stay at Grand Lake. Should have known it was gonna be a failure when our waitress, Holly, took our drink orders and it was 20 minutes + before HALF our table got their drinks. She told us they had to wash glasses and that’s why we only had half the drinks. First of all, this was at 7:30 p.m. and the place was almost empty, 3 other tables maybe. One of our friends had to get up and get his tea refilled twice because Holly disappeared. My husband and I had Raspberry tea so we couldn’t refill our own. The ice was gone out of both of our glasses due to the special brewed tea but she never brought ice until I asked for it. The spinach artichoke dip that my friends ordered looked like curdled milk and my husbands Alfredo sauce had a half a SLICE of cheese in it, not Parmesan that is shaved on top, an actual half a slice of cheese. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars is because my steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great, unfortunately by the time we got our food 1 HOUR LATER, I had lost most of my appetite and ended up taking 3/4 of my steak home. My salad was horrible and the ranch dressing tasted old. On top of this, there was a $14 gratuity added on!!!!!! This is a service that I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with because I’m essentially tipping someone that doesn’t deserve squat! My husband and I are great tippers, when the service is good, but $14 for empty glasses, no ice and no checking on our table is ridiculous. I would have rather gone back to Dominos and tipped the gal that brought my pizza to my car $14 then give it to our waitress. For the record, if she would have kept our glasses full, brought our bread without us having to ask for it, and brought the drinks requested, she probably would have made great tips from our table. Holly seems like a very nice gal but she may need some more training.We won’t be back. I do hope the service improves, but judging by other reviews I’ve read, you seem to have an issue in your restaurant.

My wife and I had the cheese curds to start with which were the best I’ve ever had then I had the shrimp and grits as my entree and wow was it excellent, I highly recommend this place

Burgers are incredible, and unique! Portobello fries are locally grown and are the most delicious way I have ever had mushrooms. Even my husband that doesn’t like mushrooms tried them and loved them! You can’t go wrong here. Chet the manager met us at the door and checked on us three times while we were there. We will definitely be back every time we are around!!

Ate there Thursday night service was slow and very poor. Food could not eat fish pieces were over cooked and small, fries were soggy .Never eat there again
Private party started at 7:00. I called two days before hand and was told we could sit as long as we were there before 7:00. We drove 2 hours after work and got there at 6:53 and they would not seat us. I will not be going back. Extremely disappointed in there demeanor.

Food was very good, but service is extremely slow. It took a long time to see a waitress.... a long time to get drinks...a long time for her to come back to take our orders...and a long time before we saw food. And the place was mostly empty.... on a Tuesday night!

Love this restaurant in downtown Grove Oklahoma... Food is always great, servers are friendly and prices are reasonable. I live 700 miles away but make sure I stop in at least once each time I'm in town. I'd be happy if they opened a place in downtown Milwaukee on the river?
