The resort was ok. The cabin was nice but I was mainly bothered that so many things were missing such as a pillow, no complimentary coffee or tea, no dishsoap, no hair dryer, no extra blankets, I also hated all the extra fees that were added to the bill. The neighborhood was nice and people were friendly. Not much free space though. Only a small patch of grass to walk my dog on eveywhere else is "privately owned" and I got pretty sick of that.
The cook shack was full of mouse droppings. The stove had no knobs to turn the burners on. The flattop only worked on half. The roof leaked in 2 places during a rain storm. The cabins are outrageously priced for the bed to be against a wall!!! No hot water- I found an old pie crust in the back of the oven. The toilet had problems flushing. The pool was late getting opened every day for the kids. Then they charge a cleaning fee on top of the room charge. And last but not least- they charge 3% of the bill if you use a credit card!!!! Make sure you go look before you book!!!
We booked this resort almost a year out for a family reunion and everything is neglected and run down. Their only pull is full of algae due to neglect, play areas are run down and there's trash everywhere, and the cabin were in is so overrun with spiders we can't even relax. We tried to step onto our lake view deck and were stopped in our track because spider webs covered the whole thing. Do your homework; the pictures online are not what you see at all.
The staff was so accommodating to move us to a different cabin. The views of the lake are amazing and the hot tubs were well maintained and a wonderful addition; highly recommend the hot tubs. The new ownership is working really hard to update this place. The pool is perfect.
We stayed at Lee's Grand Lake Resort for the very first time last weekend. We went with skepticism due to some negative reviews we read, but at the end of our stay, not only Lee's Resort did not disappoint but exceeded our expectations. Our family to include our little boys thoroughly enjoyed ourselves throughout the stay. From the friendly staff and community members, to the cozy, clean and comfort cabin, and from the moment we checked in till check-out, we enjoyed every minute of it. We are already planning for our next trip back to Lee's Resort. Thank you for a memorable weekend!!!
Cant say enough about our stay a couple of years ago here. We came for just a couple of nites in a cabin but with Tawnys help we found a great little modular for sale on the edge of the lake and now are homeowners at this wonderful resort.
Check-in was very quick and easy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The cabin we chose was small, but it was just for two. The air conditioner worked fantastic. Pleasantly surprised that the shower, hot/cold water pressure was awesome and the toilet flushed well... always check at these type of places!
We had zero problems with our cabin. Beautiful view of the lake and wonderful draft from the wind! Some of our group had scattered issues with stoves, microwaves, air conditioners, etc, not working. Overall no one was too upset since they could rely on other family members to help out. Trash was not emptied over a 3 day weekend. We took to bug bombing our trash cans to keep the fly’s off. Seriously Weird issues with what we later learned was the owner. Elder gentleman (I’m 55) was quite nasty as we used the “cafe” deck for a birthday party (no one else was using it). Shortly after, several of us watched him verbally berate staff…not a nice picture. Mixed thoughts. Lot of potential, tell the creepy owner to keep himself to himself if he can’t be civil.
My extended family of 14 people stayed a few days at Lee’s this past weekend. We had a great time! Our cabin was nice sized and suited us perfectly, with 3 bedrooms downstairs and a loft with 4 more beds. There were 3 bathrooms that were just enough for all of us, and the kitchen and grill helped us share meals together during our trip. Because of Oklahoma laws you must bring your own kitchenware, so we used aluminum and plastic quite a bit! The pool was awesome…new pump and filter fixed previous issues. The boat rental place even let us use life jackets so the kids could swim by the dock area (even though we didn’t rent a boat). If you want to stay at a mansion by an oasis, you shouldn’t rent a cabin by a lake! If you want a more rustic down to earth place to stay with a beautiful view of the lake, plus a swimming pool to boot, stay here!
The photos and site map are deceiving. Our high expectations were crushed when we arrived at the cabin. What we encountered was shocking. A tiny parking spot by the cabin partially blocked by a stump. Another cabin not shown in pictures completely blocked what little view of the lake there was. Lattice work rotted and falling apart and a filthy deck leading up to a grimy sliding door with a broken latch. Once inside we found a dirty, stained couch; a rickety and sticky dining table; and a dirty and worn window unit air conditioner. And no internet. .

This is my first review and have never written anything negative because I can usually always find the positive in a situation but NOT this time. This “resort” is quite run down and in need of major repair. We stayed 3 nights for a family reunion and had 5 cabin and 15 guests. The positives: We stayed in cabin 12 which was big enough for our family to gather which included a 8 foot wooden picnic table. The end! The negatives: We had a MOUSE in our cabin…GROSS, the furniture was in bad shape and some of it was broken or you would sink into the sofa so that it was hard to get up, the floor in the bathroom felt rotten underneath the vinyl linoleum, there were no dishes or cookware provided. We were notified of this change after we had already booked the cabin and were told that it was apparently a change in the Oklahoma Health Code and I should have canceled at that point(that’s on me)! The free breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy (every day) and my mom who isn’t picky said that she could barely eat it. My coffee loving family had a hard time getting their first cup of coffee let alone refills…we would have to go looking for someone to get any help. We rented a pontoon boat for a 1/2 day from the marina that was at the “resort”. When we arrived for our reservation there was no one there. I called the number on the sign and they did answer and come pretty quickly but the boat wasn’t even ready and they had to brush off cobwebs like the boat hadn’t been driven in weeks. We did enjoy our ride around the lake but when a few of us went swimming I noticed some exposed wires. Also, none of the gauges worked so we didn’t know how much gas we had or what speed we were going. We did finally get the radio to work. When we got back we were asked if the boat had given us any problems and he then proceeded to tell us about all the problems he has been having with it. REALLY! Rent a boat that you were having problems with to a family (some of which don’t swim) . We had elderly people with us so thank goodness nothing serious happened! The Marina itself looked like it could literally fall in the water at any minute. I didn’t feel safe on it at all. It was a very steep walk down to the marina and the steps were in bad shape. Their website had outdated information so that was misleading. The area looked like it had some nice restaurants and things to do but almost everything was permanently closed. We did manage to find a few restaurants that were open but the choices were very limited. I would NOT recommend!
Great place for sure!!!
I went into this vacation not expecting the luxury of a resort and those minimal expectations were crushed. The story I got from locals and owner is the resort is under new ownership as of Summer of 2021. We showed up to cabin 12 and the pool ( I termed lagoon) was green and full of algae. They shocked and skimmed it and had people swimming the next day, but the owner told me they wouldn't get in that pool and we had no intention as it was still murky. Cabin 12 is the pet cabin, so maybe it is worse than others. Floor was filthy, my child's feet were black within 5 minutes of walking on it. They told us they don't provide dishes, but there also wasn't soap, dish soap, paper towels, nothing. Good thing we came prepared. Floor around toilet was soft, so we just waited for it to fall in. Furniture was broken or so used that you fell into it. The cabin's grill grate broke so our dinner fell onto the grill bottom. I had called ahead, so knew there wasn't a swim beach. They told me you could swim on the wave break dock. It was a treacherous adventure to get to that dock and I wasn't swimming there either. Free breakfast was biscuits and bad gravy, sausage patties, eggs and potatoes every day. They were not great at refilling buffet or making coffee. We rented a boat for 2 days and they kept renting our boat from under us, with our stuff on it. We had 3 different boats in 3 days and the last one wasn't big enough to hold our family. Needless to say, we left early as this was not a vacation. They did refund our last night with no questions, so that was nice. We are supposedly getting a discount on boat, but will see. They did fireworks the night before 4th which was nice, but I think they caught dock on fire. Owner's daughter was responsive and resourceful with her limited resources. Lake is beautiful, but couldn't see it from cabin 12 unless you pulled a chair behind the cars. This place probably was nice in the past, but is in severe disrepair.
Friendly staff, nice cabins with great view of the lake, there are boat rentals, different sized cabins, a pool and a small restaurant. I will definitely make a future trip here. Very relaxing atmosphere.
