Good experience. If you love crab cakes, this is the place to go. They have a full menu. But this happens to be my favorite menu item. They also serve Wine. Which goes so well with crab cakes.

This little place was a great find! We were looking for something unique to the area. Every single person who took care of us was friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. (& I'd guess it is mostly a local spot, friendly patrons as well!) In my opinion they had an excellent selection of wine, though I had a beer with my ribeye. I saw two of my all time favs behind the bar; Caymus and Stag Hill. We had ribeyes (which were good) and awesome mashed potatoes. They had homemade bread pudding on the menu which is my husband's fav, but we were too stuffed to attempt it. It's located in a small strip mall, we almost couldn't find it. Worth checking out!

The bacon wrapped bourbon marinated filet was fabulous! Cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The service was outstanding and the ambiance amazing.

I frequently stay overnight in Grove for work, and I have tried Grand Lake Public House 3 times now. I am honestly so surprised at how good the chef/menu is for such a little town that's really only busy in the summer. I always sit at the bar since I'm alone, and I've had great service from a super nice lady bartender once and Jason twice. They are so nice and have great recommendations. The menu changes up every so often, and they have great specials. The food is always really delicious and elevated. It's small and cute inside and tastefully decorated. I highly recommend the crab cake. It rivals anything I've ever had over seas or ocean side. I love that they have small plates, which are still big portions. Everyone loves the Irish egg rolls, but I still need to try those. They use Akaushi beef for several dishes, and it's great quality. I tried the bread pudding tonight for dessert, and it could have used a little something fresh like berries or whipped cream or something to elevate it a bit more. I'll definitely be back for more. I'm grateful I get to eat there on slow winter weeknights compared to the crowded summer crowds too!

We had had some disappointments during the day and chose this place with a dart. I told the husband we could leave if he didn't like it.The signage had a skull. We walked in and the tables had cloth table covers. The napkins were cloth. The ice glasses were lovely. It was subdued and lovely.Had an educated conversation with the barman about what I like to drink.Didn't want to much heavy food so we split three appetizers.Irish egg rolls, hummus and pita and and a crab cake. Then peach cobbler and bread pudding for desert.Oh my, but these folks know how to keep a fat girl happy. It was just amazing.

Had a nice meal here over Thanksgiving weekend. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I look forward to visiting again next time I am in town.

Its very pricey for what it is.Its quasi upscale. The lamb is the best thing on the menu. The steaks have been for us consistently tough, overcooked and grisly. Waitress needs training badly but she tries. We will wait awhile and try it again sometime.

Ordered the 16oz ribeye cooked medium. Over an hour later (they were not busy), I received about a 10oz ribeye that was overcooked. The outside was charred heavily giving it a burnt taste. The steak was cooked to well done. The small scoop of cold mashed potatoes and 4 baby carrots did little to satiate my hunger. As a kicker, they charged $4 more than the menu price for this too small, overcooked, poorly seasoned steak with sad little not warm sides. This was not a great experience for us. I will go elsewhere next time. You have been warned.

Overall was not impressed. Tried to use Open Table to make a reservation but Open Table said they couldn’t reach them. Called directly and was able to make the reservation. Get there for it and they had the completely wrong name. Last name is Hamilton they had it under Olson…Not sure if only one waitress showed up or what but there was only one there. Waited at the bar to try to get our drinks refilled as the waitress hadn’t come back by. Took about 10 minutes. To be fair she was making a drink to start with but then I’m pretty sure she washed some dishes. Either way she went to the complete other end of the bar from where I was standing. Finally flagged another person and got attitude. From the time the food was delivered and we finished eating it no one came by the table to check in or offer drink refills. We were told the breading on the fish n chips was very light. It was the heaviest breading I’ve ever seen. We had to pull it out of the breading to eat it. We had 4 people that ordered the fish n chips. 2 of those people had breading that was nowhere near cooked on the inside. Old grease was definitely used. You could tell by the smell and color of the breading.Waitress was very nice when we saw her. Again not her fault that she was the only one there and the place was completely packed. When we told the waitress about the issue with the breading. She apologized and said she’d let them know. By that time we were well and done eating so there was really nothing else to be done.I will say that the spinach artichoke dip is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall though not impressedAlso, this is a little random but the shrimp linguine has no shrimp. The description on the menu says lobster. Which upgrade but also why call it shrimp linguine then?
