The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill

The Parrot is closed and most of the equipment has been removed. Everyone I know is unhappy that one of the best restaurants for lunch and dinner is now closed. The same owners have Honey Creek BBQ and some menu items have transferred to this location.

Coconut shrimp is to die for!! I don't say this lightly. It's also nice to have a handful of slips to use when on the boat. Service could have been friendlier

As busy as they were, our server (and all of the staff) was very attentive and friendly. My fiance and I both ordered steaks; I got the baseball cut, he got the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The veggies, potato, roll, and salad that comes with the steak were fantastic, as well. Definitely recommend if you want a good steak! Worth every penny.

It was our 1st time there and definitely will go back. The food and service was great.

Food was great. The wait time, not so much. Got there at 6:00 pm, left at 9:23 pm. Got our food at 8:17 pm. Was it worth the wait? I still have mixed feelings about that. I will mention that the hospitality was great. 5 stars for the service for sure. If you have the time, stop and eat.

It was delicous food great view to the water. Lovely atmosphere. I loved the fact you come through the entrance and there is a live parrot in the cage to cool

We arrived and were told about a 45 minute wait....which is understandable and we were ok with it. We waited....got in and ordered immediately. Then we waited and waited and waited! Finally got our food and it was cold and was definitely not worth the long wait! Steaks were overcooked, they left one person’s order off , so we had to wait yet once again.Nobody could eat their food....it was that bad!Waitress was not friendly at all!

I would say food was okay. Cleanliness kind of ruined it for us. Restrooms were pretty gross and smelled bad. I think our waiter was Shane and he really did a great job. He was attentive and fast and made sure we were taken care of!

Nice looking place with a very nice view of the lake. That’s where it stops for me. Service lacked. They were understaffed. Finally got drinks. Margarita quite a bit later. We ordered our food. Steak and shrimp would have been good if hot. The seasonal veggies were not this season. Frozen mix at Walmart tastes better. No flavor at all. Then the baked potatoe was dry and cold. Kids food wasn’t too bad. For the food that was ordered 1 hour 45 minutes was just too much of a wait. The place emptied out while we waited.

We LOVE visiting The Parrot anytime we are in Grove! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The food is great! They have a pretty view of the lake. Before or after you eat, it's nice to take a scroll around outside and just listen to the water.

Prime Rib Friday night was delicious. Sirloin and Giant Gulf Shrimp dinner and the Caribbean J*** Alfredo were just as delicious. Beautiful Grand lake views captured the moment , or two.We will be back soon!

All-You-Can-Eat crab legs on Thursday night. Enough said.
