I ordered the 4 beef tamale meal. Order was served within 5 minutes. Tasted like warmed up TV dinners. Two people with me said the same about their meals. Heard others complaining to. Would not suggest.

Look, this place is just of I-35, so if you just want food it's passable. But that's it. I wouldn't go out of my way for El Rodeo, and I won't be going back. Our visit was in late July of 2025.

My husband and I have been going to el rodeo since the establishment opened. Loved the place for many years and understand it’s family owed changes owners like every five years. Before the last owner we brought to their attention to quit using left over chips and tortillas. They never changed then the new owners came in and nothing changed still using chips and tortillas from previous owners guests. Don’t believe me just watch when tables are cleaned up! We spent hundreds of of dollars weekly but no more as of today hadn’t been there in at least two months but my son was in town so we wanted an easy meal- WRONG - he ate dip and chips and then before we ordered my daughter in law got a corn tortilla to eat well it had a very long black hair with it- this confirmed the nasty reuse of unused food- sorry but we will never be back we gave now joined a large group from Guthrie that realized this way before we did! We love Carmen as she is a great waitress and friend not her fault!

A great family-run restaurant with great food at a fair price. So glad we stopped for dinner! Also excellent for families, it was casual and the kids devoured their beans and rice.

The restaurant was infested with flies. We were constantly shooing away the flies from the food. Ordered tamales and they were crispy like they were reheated from the day before. The chips tasted like fritos.

Quick service and friendly staff. Chips, salsa and cheese sauce to start! Had the Enchilada Dinner with chicken,beef, cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. It was ok. But those fajitas looked and smelled tasty as they passed my table. Might try those next time.
