This place is confusing. It has all the big stuff correct although details is missing. Some Examples would be our server never put in our appetizer, the potatoes were cold and cheese on top was hard as a rock and I Overheard other tables having detail issues also.I would usually overlook these although at the cost of the food you just expect greatness .This place has so much potential but misses on the basics

Historic location! Train station depot right on the railroad tracks.. Cool building. Excellent food. Good service. Even the fish is excellent! Had steak and snapper. Great job!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5) We dined at Gage’s Steakhouse in Guthrie after making a reservation and expecting a fine dining experience. The white tablecloths initially gave us hope—but the overall vibe was more like a fancy sports bar than an upscale steakhouse. That said, the steak was phenomenal—easily one of the best we’ve had in a while. Unfortunately, the twice baked potato was ice cold, and the salad was served on a plastic Dollar General-style plate, which really threw off the presentation and feel of the meal. Our waitress was outstanding—friendly, professional, and the highlight of our visit. All in all, it’s a bit of a mixed bag: incredible steak and service, but some real disconnects between the setting, expectations, and presentation. If you go, just know it leans more casual than fine dining despite the tablecloths and reservation process

Absolute hidden gem in an old train depot with phenomenal food that they charge much less its level of quality. A fine dining value!

My wife and I ate there on July 17 celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary. We are residence of rural Guthrie and drove into town for our special occasion.
My wife ordered the evening special, which was a chicken fried pork chop with mashed potatoes, green beans and I had the Cobb salad with blackened chicken. I had inquired if they refresh jalapeños available to put on top of my salad, and the waitress said yes. When the salad arrived, there was a side of pickled jalapeños. I asked if there were fresh ones We’re not availableupon seeing them and she said no this is all we have. Rather than finding me and letting me know that they weren’t available and asking if I wanted an alternative tried to sneak something in on the side. They had been in “ Storage “too long and had an off taste to them as well. My blackened chicken flavor was good, but it was very dry, not sure whether it was just overcooked or re-warmed for service. I asked my wife how her meal was. She said it was good with the exception of the green beans. They were really tough. I did taste a piece of her chicken fried pork chop, and it was excellent. The staff was very accommodating. We did have a good evening, but our meal was not up to what I felt. It should’ve been for the price and the ambience

The food is amazing, it's just high dollar dinning. They are kid friendly too.

Gage's Steak House has really great food for not bad prices at all. Their rolls that they provide upon seating are AMAZING. Their steak is cooked really well and has such a good flavor. Having the train go by while eating is such a cool experience. We love coming here for special occasions and showing it to other people.

We were served water and nothing else at Gages steakhouse. We are travelers crisscrossing several state lines and Gages steakhouse tops the list of worst places to dine. Maybe they reject minorities. Even minorities that have money to spend. We’re in Guthrie, Oklahoma wanting to study its history and upon our arrival, is indicative of an unwelcoming atmosphere. Don’t go to Gages steakhouse!

The food was excellent. We did not have to wait because I had a reservation. It was on a Thursday night so it wasn’t that busy. our server was very young and inexperienced. She would forget things, and like I say, wasn’t that busy. The train comes by and it’s very loud. I think that is supposed to be part of the atmosphere.
