Made reservations for our anniversary dinner and requested a quiet table. Arrived and were seated next to a large/loud group. Received bread with no plates and tea with no sweetener. We kept having to ask for things because the waiter kept forgetting to bring them. The food was good, but this was definitely not the best experience we've had for our special occasion.
we were in town for the ragweed show. we ate there Friday night and had the ribeye special along with some other things. crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms! finished off with bread pudding and creme brulee. hands down the best restaurant meal most of us have ever eaten as stated by everyone in our group. pricing was not outrageous for the caliber of food 5 out of 5 stars
So I’ve been twice, but I’m not a big fan. Things I like: good service, restored depot building, mostly fresh ingredients. Oddly enough I haven’t had steak, so I can’t attest to the quality, but the rainbow trout dish just doesn’t have enough flavor for my tastes, and the slight sweetness of the dish with the mushroom risotto just doesn’t work for me.
