Arrived at the Valero truck stop and it had a golden chicken side I went and ordered some chicken the place was nice and clean and everyone was nice and friendly had a great time there and it was around 10:30 at night but it was clean they were friendly and very helpful FYI maybe they have been reading the reviews and started to change things it was very pleasant on my visit.

I ordered a tender salad and I'm very disappointed. There was hardly no chicken tenders on the salad and the price you charge for really no chicken tenders in the salad is ridiculous. Won't be back again not fir that price And 2 tiny tomatoes in it you are just a rip off next time I will buy lettuce and my own chicken and tomatoes pay less then what I did today for a salad..

I eat here frequently. Normally it’s a decent experience and the food is ok. Today I stopped by after work, went through the drive through to order, and when I got home found my chicken was hardly breaded, nor cooked. Not the first time I have had uncooked chicken from them. Unfortunately, I was on a time crunch and couldn’t go back. I will be bringing the food with me tomorrow along with the receipt to show them. Might even buy the cook a thermometer.

Ordered take out I waited 20 minutes watched people come and go and was told it would be another 8 minutes on my food when I was originally told 8 minutes. When the girl at the counter said she’s been waiting the girl and manager was like oh well. Not sure of it was because I was black or not. But that seemed to be the problem
You know, the food here is pretty good. The problem is the horrid service. I don’t think there’s ever been a time that my wife and I have come here to get dinner on the way home and they’ve ever gotten the order right. This time, they gave my order to someone else. Then, after I waited for more food to be made to fill my order, they still didn’t get my order right. I had to go in and say something. The incompetence is astounding. Food is good. Always check your order before you leave here. Remember the Lethal Weapon movie where Joe Pesci says they always **** you at the drive thru? That’s this place. Not sure it’s done intentionally but they definitely don’t care if they give you the wrong food or even not all of your food.

Tried the wicked wings for the first time last night. Just the right amount, perfectly cooked, and the flavor was spot on, not bland and not overly spiced. No dipping sauce needed! The medium size drink is the ideal amount. The staff if always smiling and friendly. We will be back.

I ALWAYS get my food FRESH!! I love the day crew the most, because they always come through! My food is always Smoking hot! The Service is always friendly and if you have an issue with your order, they never mind correcting it. Good customer service is hard to find, but if you come to Golden Chick, they are the epitome of the customer is always right! Now Run and Tell That!!! Hi

Cant believe it cost extra for a extra sauce . I remember now why i dont come here. The manage was very rude . I asked why it cost extra and she yelled out we dont make the rules we just follow them. The over price for the food and extra cost for the sauce i wont be back.

OMG, when will the cook(s) learn how to properly fry up the fish fillets so there is actually fish in them and not just over breaded nothingness?
Edit 2-11-25: Well, they're still over breading and over seasoning the fish. The battered fries I got looked and tasted like they were at least a week old and very dehydrated. Mac and cheese is still nasty. Chicken is hit and mostly miss. Just avoid this place.
