Drove by this dive and had to go back to give it a try (and I'm glad I did!) The lunch special is a really great value compared to what you can get at most metro restaurants, and it tastes great as well! The greatest appeal of the joint to me, is the one-off dive that it is. It's getting harder to find places that aren't just chains that are soulless. This place is old, rundown, and the floors are sticky, but it's full of warmth, good food, and soul! Worth the stop!

So I was reading the reviews and almost didn't stop and try this place. So reviews are not always accurate. That being said. Railroad BBQ pulled pork sandwich was very good. The meat had flavor, then add some hot BBQ sauce. Delicious! And the okra is bomb. A lot of okra. That's important. For $12 after tax with a drink is not to bad these days. I definitely would recommend Railroad BBQ if you are in the area. Service was very friendly and quick. I didn't like you couldn't smell meat smoking out back. Kinda strange. But overall good place.

I just got a half rack of ribs. They were hot in the ends but cold in the middle. Flavor wasn't the best. And you can tell they were reheated in the microwave.

Had the sliced brisket, pulled pork, German coleslaw and baked beans. Brisket is a 1 if that, tough, slimey. Took it home for my pup. Pulled pork is a solid 4, tender, not much fat. German coleslaw and baked beans a 5. Was in a large group and service was most excellent!!

The food here is always delicious! Ribs are phenomenal, okra is hot and fresh. Biggest downside is you have to ask for for refills...lol
Food isn’t fresh off a smoker. Sliced brisket was gray in color and the hotlinks were reheated. Baked potato and fries are good.
Got food poisoning. Don’t eat here. Keep driving.
Edited to add: both of us got sick and so did the dog. Must have been the ribs or the bbq sauce, it’s the only thing we ate in common all day.
Our 1st meal here. Outstanding. We will be back for more, for sure 👍
