I haven't had David Beards in years since the one in Longview closed. The service was great. The food was alright, fish was small and overcooked. It was supposed to be Cajun. There was no season at all. The shrimp were like rubber. Then the fact I paid 20 bucks for all this was disappointing

After several years of this place being sub par, today was a pleasant change. The food was perfect. Fish and beans hot and fresh. The waiter, Derek, was the best. A guy like him could turn this business around and back on the right track. I would like to see him be the manager here.
We will definitely be back.

Yes it's a wait in the drive.. BUT YOUR FOOD IS FRESH AND HOT.
I just wish there would be just a tab bit of update on the building, but that is a cost and a risk to prices going up..

We have planned our trips through this area for several years so that we can eat at this Catfish King. However, we were greatly disappointed today. We were there before noon. Our food appeared to have been cooked ahead of time and reheated (slightly). It was overcooked and tasteless. The fries were tasteless and cold. The beans were blah. Our waitress was great and the staff was friendly. I don’t know why you have made the changes, but fish needs to be cooked fresh. (We were surprised when our food came quickly, then we realized why). Please go back to cooking fresh or your business will be ruined.

We went for lunch,because of a fish craving. One word to describe the entire meal is Bland. We ordered cajun fish with cajun beans and fries. With a salad bar. The fish had no seasoning and was dry, overcooked. The cajun beans were caned pinto with plain white rice, and some cajun season sprinkled on top.the fries were very good. The salad bar was not good. The tater sauce was mayo with chopped pickles very thick and taste not good. I can not recommend this establishment it just feels like they use to try and now they do not.

I don't know what happened to this place it used to be good .I recommend ez mart fish if you want fish in idabel. The fish was to thin burned up .hush puppies were worse .hard as a rock .

Our meals were old, hard fish,the baby hushpuppies were dark brown and to hard to eat. The salad was good and fresh but the rest of the meal was very unsatisfactory. Very disappointing, Awful.

It's pretty sad when you go through the drive through and you're sitting there waiting for your food and instead of the employees gathering your order they just stand around and wave at you. No wonder the wait times are so long. The food is good but the service sucks.

Waitress was the BEST waitress I have had experience dealing anywhere in a VERY long time! The atmosphere was amazing! Any worker or customer we had contact with were very nice, friendly and helpful! The food was fantastic! The salad bar was great and full of fresh everything! The fish was delicious! We will be going back!! It's so hard to find places these days where you actually feel welcomed, even if you have stupid newbie to the restaurant questions!
Wheelchair accessibility: I did not pay attention to handicap parking spots, but it has a nice ramp to get to the door and inside is smooth without steps! Plenty of room around salad bar to move around in a wheel chair! From what I remember, plenty of room between tables as well!

Our server, Derek, made our experience wonderful! We were celebrating a 75th birthday with family and he was top notch with great recommendations, friendliness, and took very good care of our table. The food was good as well, but the overall experience was what made it special! Thank you again Derek!
Kid-friendliness: The kid meals came in a boat with a surprise cookie so our kids were thrilled!
