We found this gem while driving through Jones. There were several cars in the parking lot which is always a good sign of good local fare. We both ordered the Two Egg breakfast plate. Eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, with bacon, hash browns and toast. If we are near this area again, we’ll be back to try the catfish. A lot of people ordered that while we were there and it loomed good.

My husband and our son decided let’s go out to eat. We haven’t been at roosters in a very long time.If I could give it 0 stars I would. We sat down we’re given the menus and then they walked away. Didn’t ask for our drink order yet. Took em 5 minutes to finally come back and take our drink order. My husband got a sweet tea that was very watered down and was put in a mason jar glass.I asked for a hot chocolate and the mug was not clean. When it came time to order and receive our food.My husband got chicken fried steak with white gravy and with mashed potatoes with brown gravy. His chicken fried steak was not cooked correctly. They brought him mashed potatoes with white gravy. He sent it back and told them it needs to have brown gravy on it. They fixed it but the waitress was very snotty and rude. He ordered fried okra which is the only thing that was good on his end.I ended up getting Biscuits with sausage and gravy. And cinnamon toast. They only brought me 1 biscuit when the menu clearly says 2. They charged me for 2 biscuits and I only received 1. Other than that. The cinnamon toast was the only good about my order. My son received oatmeal and chocolate milk. No issue with his order. It’s time to leave and check out. Total is $35.25. It should have been under $25.The same waitress checked us out. Her register stopped working and asked my husband to pull out his calculator on his phone. He gave a $100 bill and he said we can do this together. He helped count the money back with her. But yet she still tried to short his change. We didn’t give them a tip. They were talking smack in the kitchen. They were rude. Food was not good. Only the fried okra and the cinnamon toast and the oatmeal is good there. The all American Dixie diner is one of the most consistent diners to eat at. But not roosters cafe. Roosters cafe has went downhill.

I'm primarily a breakfast customer when I go to Mimis's (formerly Rooster's) Cafe. Breakfast is decent, but they just can't seem to get over medium eggs right, they're always scorched a bit. Otherwise the service is friendly and efficient.

The owner is awesome! The food is awesome! I will be going back next time I am in Jones. I've been there 3-4 times now and never been disappointed.
Small town diner serving a huge chicken fried steak, which I sadly didn't order. My Kitties chicken was good with gravy. My husband's breakfast looked like a kid's meal. Dr pepper was out of a can for $2.50.

Ordered Hamburger steak with well done onions, got raw onions she took it back and brought me some barely brown. The onion was so strong I couldn't eat it. Everything is frozen and watered down. Very disappointing for 29.00.Keep driving
