I used to LOVE this place and bragged on it all the time. This last time though, was not very good. Poor service- very rude lady taking orders. I cleared stated my order, and it was wrong. I ordered white bread for my sandwich and it was sticking to the roof of my mouth- not as I remembered.
Likely won’t be back after this past experience.

The sandwiches are excellent. The specials are often great. The cookies and strawberry shortcake are also excellent. This restaurant could be competitive anywhere. I had a chicken salad sandwich at stone mill in Fayetteville and the heart and souls chicken salad sandwich is way better. Kansas is lucky to have it.

Best Ham & Smoked Turkey with cheddar cheese on toasted white home made bread sandwich was so delicious and big enough for two people to share. Need to go back and try the potato salad etc. we took home a slice of carrot. Take for later. Had to take at least one bite before we left and ohhhh so tasty. Try them you won’t be disappointed. Very friendly and didn’t wait long at all. You have to drive to Kansas, OK is the only thing which would be hard to do very often. 💕💕💕💕🥰

My friend and I were riding out in the country where the choices for places to eat are slim, kinda stumbled over heart & soul, and what a pleasant surprise. Homemade bread makes a really good sandwich, pleasant staff and atmosphere are icing on the cake.

Wow, where do I begin? Great food, for sure. Their roast beef sandwich on toasted homemade (daily) bread is awesome. Generous portion of roast beef with anything you want on the sandwich. Iced tea is great. Plenty of modern seating with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff visited our table more than once for coffee refills. Love this place.

Quality ingredients and skilled prep. A pleasant experience all around. Not a fan of Styrofoam cups but that's a personal problem. They're nice for Styrofoam. I imagine the insulation quality is more of a consideration for most people.
