Honestly I wasn't expecting much, I was wrong. Food is great, you serve yourself and it's all you can it. I was pleasantly surprised at how it all just works out. The staff is friendly and even the other customers are friendly. You can tell this is a staple here and it seems like everyone respects each other. Definitely give BG's a visit if you're close.

Well worth the drive. We came from Bonham to try this place. Went by it a couple months ago and the line was long on both sides of the door. That got our interest up. Very happy and we will be back. Thank you for fresh and tasty food! Plenty of catfish, Cole slaw, hush puppies, fried shrimp etc and the home made ice cream was off the hook!

Food is typically great; we’ve come several times. However, DO NOT COME AFTER 8!!! I’ll admit, I should have been more aware of the time, but 8:25pm when they close at 9pm seemed safe enough.
The downfall with buffets late at night is that they do not replenish; just “run out of what’s left”. This is fine, but there were some items that weren’t available (such as salad which wouldn’t waste much to put out, unless they were completely out for the next week but that wasn’t stated). The biggest issue was the staff walking by several times and checking the watch. (Which to note, we did walk out at 9:04pm originally, only because one child had to use the restroom right before walking out)
Again, food is great, as long as you come early.

Not good at all. Fish had zero flavor. Many pieces was nothing but batter. Slaw was not good. Shrimp was good. Chicken tenders very bland. Some of the other items not real fresh. Don't know why they stay busy.
No complaints on the food. Internet pricing on their site was wrong. Couldn't find any posted pricing inside. Charged us without even asking the age of our 10 year old daughter. Barely spoke and charged us as her being an adult. I do not believe it is anywhere near worth $19 a person. Place was very busy and cashier acted like she would rather be somewhere else. If your whole job is to stand there and manage payments, it seems a person could at least do that accurately. All things considered, won't be making the drive to go back for average food that is overpriced.
