We are retired military officers of 30 years. We first ate here in 1978, when getting our registered nursing degrees at Wilburton Oklahoma. One of my best friends , who was from a family of one hundred years of McAlester area Oklahoma farmers, had been a fan of these five Italian miner’s restaurants since 1950. All of us , including a granddaughter of the original owner of the theses famous five Italian miner’s restaurants, called Giacomos , graduated in us , from the registered nurse program at our Wilburton Oklahoma. We have lived all over America, and Europe, during our thirty years as military officers, and we still come to eat at these Italian restaurants every decade. Great food and people. If you like industrial fast food like the Olive Garden , and McDonald’s, please go there, but don’t bother trying this real Italian cuisine . Still make beef the best spaghetti and meatballs. We still have some of our college class who are military, or federal government employees , who now live all over the world, but still eat at these old Italian restaurant when they are in Oklahoma.

We called our order in they said 30 minutes we waited another 25 minutes for our order when we went to pick it up. The food was ok. We ordered the steak for two.

We reserved a table for 12 people yesterday. Upon arrival, we were in the lobby for a good 20 minutes before we were seated. The temperature of the restaurant was horrendous, we were literally sweating. We sat for another 20 minutes. Menus were tossed in the middle of our table, and we were not waited on at all. No bread or drinks were offered. We decided, that due to the extremely poor service, we would go somewhere else. As we were leaving, we heard the staff say "they just up and left". That was the first time we were even acknowledged. We bragged on this place to our friends, who were in from out of town. Such a great disappointment. So much so, this is the first time I have EVER left a review on FB for any restaurant. Staff missed out on a HUGE check, not to mention great tips. Sad. We definitely will not be back.

I took my girlfriend and my daughter to File of Capri on Saturday May 1st. This was a big mistake. The food did not taste very good. 2 out of 3 steaks were sent back because they were under cooked, as in raw and fatty. The third one was over cooked. Got the other two steaks back and they were still not right. The pasta was also under cooked in the spaghetti and the ravioli. We were asked how the food was when we cashed out the check. I told the lady it was not worth the money we paid. $130 for sub par food. We will never go back to this restaurant. I give them less than 1 star at best.

The food and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Truly felt like a high class dining experience. The owners family runs the place and could not be more kind or accommodating. Being a lifelong resident of the Mcalester and Krebs area I can confidently say that I will choose the Isle every chance I get

We did go at about 7:30p, and they close at 8p so its likely our fault that we had such a bad experience. Every single table was full of dirty dishes- NO EXAGGERATION!!! Our server forgot about us until we got up to leave at about 7:50. We decided to stay and we ordered the Italian word for 'steak for 2' which cost like almost $60. You get so much food that you will be taking some home, which the spaghetti was better heated up again anyway. Our total dinner date was $85+. Also, the decor is strange and dated.. The door entrance was confusing because they have a door facing the parking lot.
