Carlos Montez Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

Years ago this place was great, went yesterday and the food is waaay over priced, pop and tea are $1 for a refill, the salsa tasted like is came from a can and the waitress was EXTREMELY rude. The atmosphere is great but that is the only good thing about this place anymore.

Food and drink costs more EVERY TIME we go there, and we get over charged quite often on meal and bar tabs.

Overpriced garbage

Cold food. Waited over 1.5 hours for our food when we looked at the tacos there was maybe 1 spoon of meat on them absolutely horrible.

We always have a great time at this restaurant! The Montez cheese dip is amazing, and so is the guacamole! They have a large selection of entres on the menu, and everything I've had is great!

Long story short they way overcharged.
We got take out and they do not specify over the phone that a large queso in the restaurant is 7.99 but a to go order of a large queso is 12.99. I also got a shredded chicken burrito meal that comes with rice and beans. I wanted rice only instead of the beans and they charged me for both the meal and rice. They also charged a $3 fee that was not mentioned over the phone that they said was a credit card charge and then changed their story and said that $3 fee was a take out charge. My uncle also got some food from there which they charged wrong for they rang it up as something other than it was. It was $58 for 2 meals! That's way expensive... any other Mexican restaurant it is around $30 ish for two meals. The food itself was good but they are way over priced and shouldn't be upcharging for take out.

We were visiting friends at waters edge report. They took us Saturday nite. Our waiter ⭐️⭐️TOM ⭐️⭐️⭐️awesome ! The food OMG it was good and plenty of it. We all were so full almost miserably full? btw shrimp was huge and delicious ( Doris)
