Hitchin Post Restaurant

Went here tonight with my kids and my husband. The service was terrible. The waitress literally threw the 2 straws in the middle of the table. Then my daughter was just about done with her chicken sandwich and she pointed out that it was strange we looked at it it was raw. The cook came out and said they tempted it to 180. I call a lie on this. They gave us $3 off of our meal. Which costed us almost 140$. The mashed potatoes are instant the gravy was straight white and was terrible. The whole experience was terrible. We will not be going back.

I took my family to dinner. We arrived at 7:30 and received our meals at 9:30. They were busy when we arrived, but after being there 45 min to 1 hour, the rush was over. It wasn't even the wait time that was the issue, which was excessive, but the fact after all that time and being one of 4 tables of customers, our meals were barely warm. I spent an average of $20.00 per person, add in $10.00 tip. $90.00 for a 2 hour wait to receive mediocre barley warm meals. WON'T SPEND ANY MORE MONEY HERE

Had their cheeseburger, fries, and salad bar. The cheeseburger was cooked to order how I wanted so that’s a plus but the burgers are small. If they used 1/2 pound instead of 1/4 pound I bet there would be more business.

It tasted better than that awful place JMK Diner (don’t go seriously) but still, ironically, the Mexican restaurant seems to do a better burger.

Salad bar was pretty standard but fresh nonetheless.

This place isn’t a bad place to eat if you find yourself in Laverne Oklahoma.

Wife and I had been on the road for twelve hours and were interesting in something to eat. We saw the sign and pulled in. There were two or three other tables of people in but the place was mostly empty this rainy Tuesday night in May.

Our waitress took our order and in no time our food was out. At least it felt like no time as we may have zoned out and just happy to be off the road a bit. The wife got chicken fried steak and gravy while I opted for a cheeseburger and onion rings. All of which was great as I liberated a bit of her chicken fried steak while she was in the restroom.

We enjoyed our dinner, enjoyed talking with the waitress who was very customer focused and then was back on the road for another few hundred miles before bedtime.

Great pork chops, nice salad bar. Home town restaurant filled with locals.

Good food cute place to stop in and get food

Stopped in before a football game. Was very pleased with our food. Everything was delicious and none was left over. Service was very friendly and checked on us often. We will remember this place when we are back in town.

I was booked to perform my comedy show at the Hitchin Post Restaurant Very nice staff, crowd and owner. The food was great too.

Called in on 9/18/24 , was on a Road Trip from England . Food was great, plus the young lady that served me ( who had been to London on vacation) was kind , friendly & had the best customer service skills

Awesome hole in the wall restaurant on our 18 hour trip to New Mexico. Highly recommend stopping there. Staff was very nice and friendly.

I had some time to check out the place during a vendor show and it was amazing. I’ve cold beer and food was delicious! Great and friendly service also!!! Will definitely be back!

This place is worth the drive. The people are wonderful and the food was some of the best. I didn't leave hungry. I would highly recommend this place.
