Came from Denton for a catfish treat and was here decades ago so expectations were high and we felt it was worth the drive. Starters were the hush puppies which were very good as was the relish... cole slaw? Meh... Ordered the grilled catfish. Had a bad odor to it but pushed through the first of 4 filets. That was all I could stomach. My buddy, who ordered the same, covered his in tartar sauce. He only ate one filet as well. I guess we should have ordered the fried fish. Definitely should have sent it back and asked for the fried rendition. The upside? We didn't get sick but surprised at that.

I hadn't been there in 35 years. We stopped by today... it was goood. Exactly what I remembered. Fried catfish was excellent. Hush puppies were really good too. We'll go back and it won't be another 35 years that's for certain!

We used to love this place. We met family there for a birthday group dinner Oct 2023. Catfish had a rotten smell and made 3 of us pretty sick. Manager would not return my calls.

Had roaches crawling on my plate, also heard them in the back say they could care less if the fish is cooked all the way. No wonder I was sick for days. This place needs to be shut down. Drove from Arkansas just to visit and this is what I should have expected I guess.
Please just stay away from this place. The servers are entitled children that the family employs that will treat you lower than dirt and make you feel less than human. The owners hate running it in the first place, just so everyone knows "this family" has to be the most evil and cruel group of people to exist. If you had any clue how they treat their own, the owners are absolutely entirely knowing that their grandson is starving on the side of the road and they left him for dead. They are evil evil people. Stay away.
