My wife picked this place while we were in town for the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised how good the fried chicken was ! The Mac and cheese was super good. The fried okra was ok.
I would be happy to eat here again sometime.

All staff is very friendly and helpful, even in the middle of full capacity lunch rush. Plus, the restaurant was clean and inviting.

Absolutely loved this place until I was trapped in the drive thru over 45 mins and when I got my food it was COLD. I called and was told they wrote my name down for $30.00 and to come in for our next meal before July was over, we called a few weeks later (in July) and was literally told that my name wasn’t down and they couldn’t help me. Wasn’t even offered to make it right, wasn’t offered assistance. Yeah so if you like cold chicken and coleslaw that tastes moldy and have to wait 45+ mins for your food then be sure to go wait at Charlie’s!

My husband ate two pot pies which he loved. I had the country fried steak dinner and substituted okra for slaw. Two large drinks and total was $33. My okra was very good, crispy and not greasy. The chicken fried steak was a smaller portion that was pre battered and frozen, not the best in town but acceptable.

Restaurant was very clean and attractive and service was good.

No prices were listed on the menu board or menus

Anything fried here is excellent. Hit this up while on the road and it was a pleasant surprise.

Our first stop in from Edmond, each visit. Brings back memories of eating there in the 80s. Their prices keep going up, and that is the only drawback. I realize they're trying to keep pace with rising costs of bulk supplies.

when I started to order. he said let me make sure I have chicken first. I have always come thru here since I was a kid. the grass was grown up to the side menu and seemed upset because I ordered chicken.🤔

Food seems to not hold the same quality as I remember, standard country chicken restaurant otherwise, homemade condiments would be a huge plus

Great food got new dentures & the dumpling are easy to eat. Yuck for having to use blender for the 1st few days. Just smash & enjoy. Serve only on Wednesday.
