“Eat here. Really. And order the jalapeño margarita. Had the chicken tortilla soup without the tortillas. Amazing broth. The steak campion, vegetarian #4, fries and shrimp, nachos with chicken and peppers, chicken tacos. Delicious. And outstanding service.“

“I went under previous owners once and didn't go back. Recently tried it and was very impressed. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich and okra. Both were hot and crispy not greasy. The owner visited our table and was open to feedback that the steak needs a little more pepper.“

“Cute little 50s style diner with great food. I ordered the breakfast scrambler, and I couldn't finish it all. The biscuits are some of the best I've had. Soft and fluffy, and as big as a plate! Too bad I'm just passing through town.“

“Tracy was an excellent host at Captain John's!! We had the catfish & shrimp poboy sandwiches with seasoned cottage fries! The House made remoulade is an awesome flavor that does not overpower the crispy cajun flavored breading! Definitely recommend!“
