Cookies & Cupcake By Design

I can’t thank Cookies by Design in Midwest City enough. My dad is on hospice and all he wanted was a German chocolate cake. I’d been everywhere trying to find one. I told the girl at the counter about my dad, and even though they don’t usually make German chocolate cupcakes, she told me to give her five minutes. She went to the back and made one fresh, just for him.

That kindness meant everything to us. She made my dad’s day, and I’ll always remember it. Thank you for truly caring and going above and beyond for a stranger.

Cookies had a cute design but were hard as a rock and had no flavor. I had one bite and couldn’t finish. I got a cupcake and didn’t want to try it based on how bad the cookie tasted. The price for 1 cookie was 8.99 but the board quoted another price. For 2 small cookies and a cupcake my total was $23.43 if it tasted okay I wouldn’t have minded paying that crazy price but when it tasted and crumbled like a dog treat no thanks!

I came in today to get special cookies for my kids going back to school. They had the little decorated sugar cookies which looked fine. I about had kittens when she told me they were $5.00 EACH. I have 6 people in my house. That's 37.00 (tax incl.) For SIX COOKIES. I thought ok. They look good, they'll taste good... I'll go ahead and get them.

I was so wrong. First, she put all 6 cookies in 1 tiny bag just big enough to hold them all. Smushed them and 1 ended up broken. THAT was enough to warrant a bad review. For that price, they should be better packaged. Second, I know sugar cookies are typically hard and the royal icing can be hard as well. That's fine. These cookies have zero smell, a funky aftertaste and frankly remind me of a crumbly dog treat. Such a disappointment for a special treat on the first day of school.

I will never EVER spend money at this place again. I know, no one cares I'm sure, but seriously....There are many other places to get good cookies at a fair price. $5.00 each is absolutely RIDICULOUS especially for what you get.

Pretty cookies. But were hard and didn't taste good. $160 order, for people to just take one bite and trash tthem. I don't recommend this place.

I am so sad to give this review! I have been wanting to stop in but have been on a weight loss journey and have been waiting until I hit my goal to treat myself. I HIT THE GOAL!!! So today was the day! I walked in and was greeted with a lack luster "can I help you." I said I'm just looking, it's my first time in. I then picked out my cookies and was absolutely taken back by the total. What we were charged and what what was displayed on the menu on the wall was different. When I brought this up and showed her where the menu said the price she said, oh well, it rang up as this so......I wanted to just walk out but I didn't. I paid OVER PRICE for them and walked out because I had worked so hard for those cookies. Sub par service by far!

The cookies used to be pretty good, but today I went here and the cookies I purchased tasted weird and were not fresh at all. They tasted old and were brittle.

Bought 12 for an event I was supposed to bring dessert for. Embarrassing! They tasted like week old cupcakes. And 45$. Definitely won't be back.

Poor customer service. Paid additional for fast delivery and package was still late. They told us it was a UPS problem. UPS stated they didn't get the package in time. When the cookies arrived all were broken and 3 of the five had fallen off the stems. The cookies tastes the way moth balls smell. Terrible terrible customer service. We will never use them again. Ever. Save your money.

I was so excited to try this place but the cupcake was less than perfect. It was HARD and DRY and just not what should be sold at a place of business. I mean I can make them better myself and bet they’d taste the exact same except better and softer. I do not recommend this place at all.

Cookies arrived in terrible shape. Were not protected at all for shipping. Everything was broken, one cookie was not even in plastic. Reached out to company and no one called me back. Spent almost 200 dollars on these cookies in place of a cake for my son's bday and now I have to run out and buy a cake off the shelf for him.

They don't care. Have called them 3 times and they must have caller i.d because they won't answer when I call.

We placed an order for a patient in the ICU and received excellent, extraordinarily responsive service. The recipient was very pleased with the gift. Thank you & bravo, Christy & Team!

I just happened to pass this place in MWC and stopped to get a cupcake for a client. They did not have what I wanted but they made it. Just like that. For that I am very thankful and will send anybody looking for cookies or cupcakes. Awesome service and great
