Applebee's Grill + Bar

Arrived 8pm Thursday. Maybe five tables occupied. No hostess in sight. Bar tender sees us but proceeds to scan tv channels. No other employees in sight.
Finally a waitress appears out of kitchen, goes to deliver a customer's drink, then ignores us and starts clearing a table.
Five minutes, no welcome, no nothing.
We left; had a good meal at Chiles.

Went to Applebee's tonight for my daughter's birthday. They messed up drink and her steak twice. The server Mercedes seemed high on something. The people behind us had him as a server also and left before they got their meal. My meal was compt they lost out on at least a $90 bill

I'm not going to lie, this is the worst Applebee's I've been to ever.

Starting with the food:
The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like someone used a mortar and pestle to grind up the raw garlic and mixed it in. It was raw garlic taste.
The onion rings only tasted like grease and sandpaper.
My husband reported that the fish and chips were okay, but then he spent all night and the next day in the bathroom following the meal.
The appetizer - the spinach artichoke dip - was obviously sitting out for hours prior to serving and the chips were stale.

Service: while our waitress and the seater were kind, the food took an hour to come out when there were hardly any patrons. This was so frustrating, considering we had to change our order to-go because our baby was melting and we had to wait outside.
They also were out of several ingredients. That's super frustrating. I've been a manager at a restaurant before, and I know when a restaurant is out of food it's due to poor planning when assessing inventory and planning for the week.

Pricing: we paid $70 for 2 adults and 1 child. And it was terrible. I felt so floored and honestly scammed at this point.

All in all, it was terrible. I feel so foolish for expecting it to match the standards the Orem, Utah location has set, or even a Denny's sets.

The waiters was a lady with light Pink glasses, I pick à twe means for $25. And I asked her is she can make me the chicken fettuccine with grill chicken she said let me ask, I don't know who she did ask and she came back she said yes no problem, amd at the end she did charge me without let me know at all, I been nice with her all the way, but she was deshonnest with me, she even says that she is leaving and another one will take over, I said let me give you you tip anyways. Then her she came back she said I'm staying. I felt like she was malicious with me because I was to much nice with he. I learning a lesson that I forget longtimw ago never trust wait till the end. The lord is watching.

The food was great. Though BBQ ribs were too spicy. Service was very slow. Atmosphere was very dull.

the food was very bland, we got sirloin steaks and they tasted more like hamburger. mine was cooked the same as my husbands but was tougher than his (medium rare). the food needed more salt and seasonings for sure. our waitress maddison did a great job and provided great customer service, the other staff we interacted with were great as well.
our booth seat was also awkwardly far back from the table and scooting it didn't help lol, so that was uncomfortable. it didnt seem like the food wasn't cooked well, but seemed the cooks were provided ingredients that could have been better for the price.

Depressing, a since that mediocrity was ok...Host was trashed, barley stand on his own. They had a 1 hr wait with 7 tables open, due to under staffed on a friday evening. This is one of the many reasons Applebee's will soon be gone.

Visited your establishment yesterday & it was so enjoyable. The food was excellent, we had the fish & fries, but the service provided by Caleb was quite impressive. He is an asset to your establishment and hope the next visit to your restaurant we will be again seated in Caleb's section.Thank you for a most pleasant dining experience ~!~

The assistant general manager “Katie Morrison” is extremely unprofessional and unwilling to help customers. Was falsely advertised a price on a drink, not the waiters fault he wasn’t aware and neither were we. When the manager came out to talk to us we were met with attitude and zero offer to help.
