There are good foods and there are very good foods, but this one was an excellent food. This is a family owned business and the owner is super nice. They made us feel at home from the time we did enter the location. Then comes the food. One of the most delicious food we expected from a expensive establishment, but this dish was very reasonable in price and rich on taste. I greatly appreciated the hospitality of the owner and his wife and definitely recommend this location to our fellow OKC residents. Thank you again for perfect service to me, my wife and our son.
Amazing family owned Mediterranean restaurant. Food was delicious and the service impeccable. They really make sure you feel welcome and taken care of. Will definitely be back.
Small hole in the wall place offering several Mediterranean dishes. The Dolmas, chicken wrap, beef kebab, yogurt sauce, saffron rice and saffron ice cream are all AMAZING. It reminds me so much of being stationed overseas and it is very nostalgic. This will definitely be a staple in our rotation, the food was amazing.
Kid-friendliness: No kids menus but they will make it kids portions.
Dietary restrictions: Halal
Amazing food and service. Driving for hours, we were blissed to find this place. If your Iranian, this is as good as it gets. Come here!
I've tried several of their dishes. The chicken, sausage, and falafel. I highly recommend trying something new, every new dish I've tried has been a delight to my senses. Speaking of delight, the owners are wonderful .
TLDR; Flavorful food with delicious homemade saffron ice cream & owners who make you feel like one of their own.-vegetarian options-gluten free friendlyWe drove down to Moore just to try Golden Plate. The owners were warm & welcoming & answered any questions we had about the dishes. We were with a group so we ordered both the classic & roasted red pepper hummus. The pita bread was warm, soft & delicious. We also ordered dolmas that were scarfed down immediately. The dolmas were cold so keep that in mind. I ordered a kebab wrap with a grilled tomato inside, they ask if you want it grilled or not. The meat was tender & seasoned very well. I definitely recommend the combination plate as well. Combo plate comes with 1 skewer of chicken & one beef skewer (kebab koobideh). They brought us individual yogurts which I really appreciated. The ghormeh sabzi was wonderful & everyone enjoyed sharing it. Make sure to sprinkle some lime on top to make it extra delicious.Try this local family owned restaurant, it was definitely worth the drive!
Great falafel, great tea, super nice owners, pleasant vibe. I strongly recommend this place. The saffron ice cream is good, and it goes perfectly with the Family Tea (which they make themselves). My family tells me the kebabs and gyros are good as well.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! The owners were very kind and made some very helpful suggestions. The food is made in-house and not ordered through some big box supplier as is so often the case with other similar type restaurants. The Greek salad with chicken was delicious, and the chicken was exceptionally tender and not overcooked. The dolma is some of the best I have ever had. Likewise the falafel bites with the chili sauce were extremely tasty and the hummus was amazing. Please, do yourselves a favor and check out this locally owned gem.
Everytime I'm in town I visit here, personally I've been to every gyro shop in okc this one is by far more authentic and personal to me because they have pictures of their idols and homeland that speaks a very deep story of where they came from and what they represent a very respectful environment which should be that way. the food is hot and very generous also the people are too. Thank you!
Starting with the hummus, it was extremely good! So much, in fact, that I forgot to snap photos of the rice and kebabs before digging in a bit…which were also out of this world. Very juicy; not at all dry, and seasoned wonderfully. Matter of fact, the food was so good that I ordered dessert (which I don’t really ever do). The Saffron ice cream was sublime, in its floral, creamy goodness. Never experienced that, before, but I’m sure glad I have now. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!
