Charlie's Fried Chicken

I ordered the chicken liver dinner and it was sooo salty and hard I couldn't eat it. We used to eat here A LOT...reminded me why we stopped.

I went in and asked the young lady if they had fried catfish still available. She looked in the storage where it's kept and mumbled something that I couldn't understand what she said, so I asked again what she said. At this point she YELLED YES. So I said you act like you have an attitude as she walked off. I then told the manger that she needs to have an intervention with her employee. Mind you she was standing there and had to have heard everything that was said but didn't seem concerned how this employee was acting and never offered an an apology!!!
I've was born and raised in Muskogee, but I can tell you I'll never step foot in this Charlies West again.

Quick food. It's not the freshest. They seem to cook everything ahead of time so that's likely why it's so quick. Sometimes the chicken is juicy other times it's dry & tough. The frying oil isnt changed as often as it should be either. I can taste it. It will suffice to quell hunger when you cant get any other food in a pinch.

The last couple of times that I went the food has been old and cold or hard and chewy. My potatoes had a funny aftertaste and the gravy was separated. I was sad because usually they're way better than the checotah location. Also they totallyshould get corn nuggets I would order them every time I came! But sadly the last two times that I've went for I was disappointed and this time I even gave my plate to my dog. I already had two out of three of my chicken chunks spicy because they were out of regular for one of our meals. I went ahead and just went with the spicy and it was dried and hard to chew. But at least Tesla got to eat 😏

Charlie's is hands down, the best fried chicken one can get this side of Springdale, Arkansas. (anybody who gets that has eaten at Neal's). Even though there are Charlie's in other communities, they are still locally owned, not a corporate chain. So win - win. Get the best chicken. Support local restaurants. Toss in the reasonable prices and you get win - win - win. Can't beat that.

Went through the drive-through thought I ordered chicken dinner, but when I got home, the pieces were so small, It looked more like pigeon. They didn’t even put a roll in with my dinner.. Surely you can do better.

Best fried chicken ever? Nope, definitely not. The chicken meat itself had no seasoning. The skin/batter was the only thing that was good. I got the mixed 3 piece meal. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I also had the green beans and mac and cheese. Bland, bland, do not recommend. Food felt lazy and bare minimum.
