Max's/Maxine's is an "ole' reliable" when it comes to the traditional bar scene. Great place to dance the night away with locals. But they've really stepped up their game with the restaurant side of the operation. The food is truly outstanding. The burgers rival any burger in Muskogee. The fried mushrooms are hand breaded and not just fried from frozen, and they are worth getting every single visit. The ranch is top notch. They offer a really delicious Saturday brunch menu, but I wish they would do Sunday brunch. They decorate big for Christmas every year, which is really fun. And they have a seasonal photo area that always has a cute backdrop. The only real struggle with Max's is consistent service. It seems like they are always short-handed and very slow. They take reservations for big groups, but don't actually use them, so you still have to wait, which defeats the purpose of reservations. But I'll continue to go for those fried mushrooms!

It was absolutely amazing! To be honest it was the first time I had ever went out to dinner on my own and I was nervous but the whole experience was just great. Food was amazing! Service was outstanding! Kristen (i hope i spelled her name right) was so kind and attentive. I loved it and will be going back! I recommend trying the Blue Moon draft! Yum!

We went in between lunch and dinner. It took us quite a while to find our server, but when she realized she had a table, she was incredible. The food was good. The appetizers were better than the special. The appetizers were the best part!

Great place to eat and relax. This place is a restaurant that happens to have a bar in it. The emphasis here is on making good food like any full service restaurant does, very much unlike a bar that supposedly has food, where there's a very limited menu and the food is not that great and is overpriced.
Our first time. Food was good and hot. Four of us, all had different meals. My chicken was cooked perfect. All was eaten but the chili cheeseburger, he didn't like it and said it tasted like old chili. I tried it and it had a weird taste, like the chili was days old and the burger had an odd taste? The chips and queso were good with the beef in it. I'd like to have a bit more than they brought for the price though, we killed it with most of our chips led. So maybe offer a refill on it or some salsa too. Service was slow, food out of the kitchen was slow too, but I think some people / waitresses called in and they were short handed, we weren't in a hurry so not a big deal.My only real complaint / negative was the vape smell. It was so STRONG!! It was literally making me sick. I don't know if people were vaping in there or just wafting from another area but it made us sick. Had to change clothing when we got home because we stunk!!! Really need to air it out or get an air cleaner and think of people who don't smoke / vape. We might be back, if the smell is gone.
