Once there, we were told multiple items still listed on the menu have been dropped, including the entire kids menu and most dessert options. After we adjusted our order to the availability, my hamburger meat tasted old plus had colby jack and onion when I had ordered mushrooms and Swiss. Had to ask the (friendly) waitress for basic items that should have been offered or provided automatically. While waiting for our food the next table over had similar issues with their meal. Neither of us were offered a replacement or even an explanation.

Maxine’s (Max’s Garage) in Muskogee is an okay spot to hang out with friends, but the food felt overpriced for the quality. My $12.99 two-piece chicken strip meal was average, and the $9.99 cheese curds mostly tasted like old grease and salt. Drinks were fine, but for around $30 total I expected a little better. Good for socializing, but I’d probably choose somewhere else if I was going just for the food. Note: I ordered the two peice chicken strips, and they gave me 4, but they were super thin.

I asked for a margarita the owner ended up making it for me and it tasted awful. I went back up to the bar and ask for something else to be made or a margarita that's going to taste good. I'm one of the actual bartenders had to make me a margarita. I ordered a chopped steak and it came out with the bacon burnt. Took a while to get some service and food. I don't recommend this place

Went to have lunch with my daughter. 12:30 place is completely empty except one other table. Seat ourselves with no one in site greeting us. NOT SURE IF THEY PAY ATTENTION to the doors. But waited , waited and waited to be noticed. No servers around so bat tender came out from behind the bar, SHE SEEMED PRETTY PUT OUT THAT WE WERE EVEN THERE. Guess LUNCH TIME IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO GO THERE? AFTER ordering my daughter plate came out wrong and my burger was raw. We didnt have time to return it, on work lunch break. Daughter ate what she did like from the partially correct food and a few bites for me stomach upset with burger not cooked completely. Don't expect to have to say don't bring it out raw. You think cooked all the way or maybe a very little pink. Again, waited and waited and waited for a return so we can pay to leave, now past our hour lunch break. Finally someone shows up, your table git handed to me, I just got here. That means what to the customer? No one else here to work at lunch time, again maybe their better for dinner. ? But service was terrible, food was terrible and I guess I just learned they charge for every little thing for a burger. A little slice of lettuce that didnt even cover the whole burger, cheese was extra, pickles well you get 10 or more but the tomato was so small and paper thin that you could see through it. To have lunch burger, fries drink, no refills as no one came back $42.00 really ... why? Daughter two table spoon green beans, two table spoons mac n cheese, meat patties size of a pop can top. If it was great food maybe, but too expensive for my blood. $4 for a drink from the fountain? WAS NOT IMPRESSED guess if I drive all the way out there to have lunch with Daughter again from work, will pick somewhere else.

I did not eat here but got a Blue Christmas cocktail. They had very beautiful decorations and I wish I could've stayed longer. I had The Boars Head Feaste at The Castle of Muskogee to get to! Definitely will come back in the future!

Cons: sweet tea is not a good southern sweet tea (I believe it was a black tea with sugar added), a cook quit after we ordered so the food took awhile to come out However, the cook who stepped in was on point. Their seems to be 2 names for this place so I don’t actually know what one we ate at ( Maxs garage or Maxine’s Gastropub)
Ordered nachos ask the waitress what comes on them she didn’t know then she said we could get whatever on them so we got lettuce, cheese, jalapeños, tomatoes and chicken menu didn’t say what was on them either got the bill and it was double the price each thing was an individual charge even the cheese, ask to speak to a manager and her and the bartender said that there wasn’t a manager there or no one to call about it the waitress should have known the menu or at least ask before she told us wrong nachos tasted ok but disappointed that the server said it wasn’t her fault which is crazy not sure I’d eat there again for a while
