Kirby's has been around for probably 30 years now and I've eaten here probably 5-6 years over the years including recently. This is a good little restaurant on 6th street in the old downtown area, opening hours are 8am to 8pm. Menu features a typical range of local diner affair in Oklahoma.
During this recent lunch I had their chicken fried chicken with okra and salad. Food was ready in around 10 minutes and tasted really good. Chicken was nicely seasoned and battered. Just the right amount of crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. Service was super friendly and prices what you expect of local diners across the state. Kirby's is a good little place, worth trying in Okmulgee.

Small town diner with decent diner food and long time waitresses. Its a good place to eat if you're in Okmulgee during the week. Not open on weekends which is a shame, but its nice their staff gets weekends off

Party of 6, 3 orders were messed up. One was sent back, came back "re-bunned". The unsweet tea tasted like a dirty aquarium. All of the fried sides were overcooked. I do not recommend this place unless you're here for the friendly staff... they do have fantastic staff. They have to, to put up with the disappointment served out the kitchen.

Wait time was over an hour and the food was cold when I got it. Also a hair on the plate. Waitress did a fine job.
The food was great. Wendsday you can get a great slice of meatloaf. It was great.

New owners have added a credit card fee and are sneaky about it, they have a small sign that doesn't even say how much it is, then they lied and said the sign was on the door, it wasn't. An honest business would have a sign on the register with the percentage and they would ask you before you paid.
