“The staff here are fantastic—quick, efficient, and friendly. They were the reason our visit started off so well. Unfortunately, when ownership arrived, the atmosphere shifted. The owner was cold and unwelcoming, even reprimanding an employee in front of customers and speaking to them in a demeaning way.

Strong leadership should inspire and guide, not undermine morale. The team was running smoothly when we arrived, but her presence noticeably brought the energy down. If she truly wants her staff to meet her expectations, she might consider shadowing and coaching privately, rather than publicly criticizing. This would help maintain both employee morale and the welcoming brand image Einstein Bagels should strive for.“
