This place is amazing, the food is very delicious and you should come hungry. The chili cheese tots are a meal in itself, some of the best steak fries I've ever had! The roast beef sandwich to die for! If you're in town, you must come here to eat.
If you come, come hungry. The service g sizes are enormous. And I'm a great big, fat guy, so that's saying something! The food is great, too. The service was a bit slow and inattentive, but they were all nice.
Note this was our first visit to the Hungry House cafe. My wife ordered a cheeseburger, which was wonderful and well worth the price. Her side order of tater tots were not good and we couldn't really put our finger on why - they were just different. I'm a big chicken fried steak fan, so I jumped on that when I saw it on the menu. It was a big disappointment. It was highly overcooked and the edges of the beef were almost black. Also, the gravy wasn't a white, cream...
