I started calling to try and get pick up order at 4.30 and even tried to go through the drive through and no one answered tried again at 6.30 phone stayed off the hook and I went down to the drive through finally got someone then get told I can order what i want when I got my ribs they were so small it was the no meat on the bones
I hadn't been here in over 15 years and had to have a Susan Salad. Still the best homemade quacamole and ranch I have ever had!!!!
Drove from Texas to specifically eat here. It was probably the worst barbecue I’ve ever had. The brisket was so unbelievably dry and there was some grayish mystery meat mixed in that was NOT brisket. Taste was off completely and no smoke all, I didn’t even take it home to my dogs. Ribs were tough but edible. Coleslaw was super sweet, potato salad was odd, and baked beans had more ketchup soup than beans. The roast beef “sandwich” was meat piled on 1 slice of bread and doused in au jus, so much so the bread was completely disintegrated and mush. It honestly tasted like we got last Wednesdays microwaved leftovers. The fries with the special seasoning were sopping in grease and the secret was cornmeal breading. The best thing was the hot links. I HATE to be negative about a Mom and Pop place but $20 a plate - this should have been better.
Food was amazing
I had the 3 meat combo plate with fried green tomatoes and it was all great. Best place I've eaten in Pauls Valley.
This place has good food. Unfortunately I won’t be back. It is too far of a drive to get there to find out they are closed. I did call and check the website before make the drive. The hours are posted on the door as well. Wasted third trip!
The real old fashion restaurant!! Even best than anyone can imagine!! Highly recommended: Susan’s Salad;
Use to be better then what it was cost me $54 dollers for one rib, 2 slices of pork loin an a small scoop of brisket little half cup of potatoe salad an half cup of beens , X 2 , sorry but I won't be back

Tasty BBQ found here. The outside and inside is rustic but perfect for enjoying good BBQ. Ordered brisket and ribs plate and it came with 3 sides. All the sides were delicious (baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw). The plate also came with a big Texas toast. This plate was delicious but had to take some to go because the portions were huge! Service was excellent. I noticed the owner knew everyone that came in so I think it is safe to say this place is very popular with the locals.

The prices and quantity was just fine service was just okay except one person seemed disgruntled. Our food did not seem fresh, brisket was like roast not enough smoke for me, the rib had a wonderful flavor but so tuff I couldn't finish it.

I think that I would never eat there this meal was a gift I would never spend my money there.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service! We were a table of 8 and each of us got something different. We shared and enjoyed everything that was put in front of us. We ate there a few months ago. Unfortunately we all went back today' and they closed at 2pm on Saturdays. We left hangdog, planning our next trip on a Friday! We will be back!
Parking: Plenty of free parking. You may have to walk a bit on an uneven paved path but it's worth the walk!!
Kid-friendliness: Kids seemed to be enjoying themselves at the next table. Our teenagers were in hog heaven. No pun intended!

I met my husband there and have eaten there for over 30 years having delicious food! It is unique! A easy place to make friends and have a good meal! Can come as you are…business clothes, work clothes, or super casual!
First time to visit this restaurant. We went at lunchtime. It was recommended by family that had eaten here a week prior. The restaurant was very nostalgic. So many things and pictures to look at there. The staff was excellent, they kept us all taken good care of, we had a long table full. I had barbecue, their signature of this restaurant. I decided to eat the 3 meat combo. I liked it, although I didn't care for the ribs, as they were too dry for my liking. Otherwise, everyone in my party enjoyed their meals.
Parking: We parked on the street, there is a few spots next to the restaurant, but they was already taken, so we opted for the street in from of and down the street just a little past the restaurant
