Sooners Corner Restaurant (I-35 Exit 185)

On the way home from our road trip we stopped in OK. We found Sooners on the GPS and it was a great decision. Everything was delicious and service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend! We will be back!

As a Roadside Diner, which has obviously been in place for many years, this was surprisingly good. They had the buffet open so we tried it and most of it was pretty good. Prices were reasonable. Parking was good. We might stop there again. Staff was definitely friendly and efficient.

As expected, when the buffet has been open for several hours already, some of the dishes didn’t hold up. We went ahead with the buffet, so we could get back on the road again. The fish didn’t hold up well, but was edible. The attempt at deep frying a slice of chicken loaf didn’t work out well, only toughened it up. However, the roast beef with taters and carrots was delicious! The mashed powers were ok, but the brown gravy was amazingly delicious. Surprisingly, the crab salad was excellent, but I’d prefer a few more diced celery when available. The green beans with bacon were perfectly prepared and had good flavor. The fried chicken was a lit burned, but still tasty. We didn’t try the desserts but they looked delicious. Salad bar was good and I was happy to see pickled beets. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and competent. Prices were reasonable, too. I’d try this place again.

This is a great old school feeling diner. The food was great. We got the Sunday lunch buffet, great comfort foods. The staff is very welcoming and attentive.

Had the 12 oz ribeye, it's one of the best steaks I didn't cook for myself in a long time. On par, or even slightly better than, a upper middle tier steakhouse imo. Waitstaff was boisterous and fun, with excellent service.

Ordered a chicken sandwich and baked beans. Chicken was hard and rubbery-could not cut it or eat it. Beans were not bad. When my husband who eats everything tried it he nearly spit it out. So I highly do not recommend eating here. The service was poor- the waitress hardly talked to us and actually wouldn’t have if my husband didn’t talk to her first. A big waste of $35. Don’t do it!!!!
