Van's Pig Stands - Purcell

We spent $47 on 2 rib dinners and 2 drinks to take home for dinner. We live 30 miles from there and the Ribs were so dry you couldn’t even eat them !!! As tight as money is these days it’s terrible that yall would charge that kind of money for good that IS NOT EATABLE!

I will say the restaurant was clean, but the food was lackluster. I ordered the Pig Sandwich…there wasn’t even enough meat to fill the bun. The fried okra….no taste at all. My dinner companion ordered a meal with coleslaw…not made fresh. For the price, I’m highly disappointed, and will not be returning. When we first pulled up, I thought, “You know who has great bbq…Smokin’ Joe’s!” I should have gone with that thought. Sorry, Van!

I’ll start with the good: customer service is amazing. Staff are very friendly and kind, bathrooms were very very clean(and smelled good), and the fries and green beans were delicious.
Now the not so good: the meat (pulled pork and sliced brisket) tasted like just wet meat. It gave me bad diarrhea and bubble guts. The brisket was tender but it literally tasted like it was dipped in water. Same with the pulled pork. This is a 2 star review is because the meat is the star of a BBQ joint

Awesome food, great staff, truck parking. Easy on/off interstate. MUST HAVE THE GREEN BEANS!

Stopped through on a road trip and my family and I got some unbelievably great bbq and service here, the curly fries were our favorite side item and the people working there are all very nice and welcoming

Clean, layer out well with good spacing between tables. My food was okay but not as good as other bbq places I've been. However, the brisket was super tender. The bbq sauce on the tables didn't compliment the meat very well.

After antique shopping downtown, we needed a place to eat and wanted to try something new. So glad we stopped here.. the chicken is delicious! Very good flavor and not at all dry. Great service too! Will be back.

This was a wonderful place to eat. The ribs where amazing as well as the Hamburger. You can even buy their house BBQ types. I recommend stopping by if you get the chance.

Best bbq in Purcell, hands down. Gotta try the brisket French fries. The bbq sauce is divine.

I went to Vans Pig Stand today for their lunch special, which was $8 for hamburger fries and a drink, I was told they was out of hamburger patties! Not sure if you know this location but it rarely has a full parking lot and isn't very busy, how hard would it be to order the hamburger patties that you are advertising, guess I'll go somewhere else from now on, especially since I can't afford anything on their menu anyway, their food is delicious and services good everyone there is pleasant and friendly but it just cost too much for my family to eat there unless they have the $8 combo available
