We stopped by Braum's in Sallisaw while passing through, and it was easily the highlight of our day! This place is a true Oklahoma staple, combining a grill, a fresh grocery market, and their legendary ice cream all under one roof. I was really impressed with the service; the staff was quick and friendly, even though the place was buzzing with people. The atmosphere is super inviting—it has that classic American diner feel, and everything was clean and smelled like fresh...
They are fast not really friendly they seem to all be kinda just there. There was one guy working the grocery part of store that said hello and told me have good day that was more than I can say for any of the other staff. Butt food was great and they got it right first time.
Braum's is not as good as it was when I first moved to Oklahoma in 1981. My favorite ice cream flavor is peppermint, and at some point, the hardness of the ice cream itself, the flavor, and the number/quality of candy pieces declined. Cartons of ice cream are also too often too soft and the flavor is not nearly as good. As for cherry limeade, Braum's is by far the best. Nothing comes close. Fries are usually soggy. Burgers/chicken sandwiches are so-so. Milk still tastes...
