The food is excellent and plenty. If you like fried catfish, frog legs, shrimp, hush puppies, southern style brown beans, and coleslaw Shad’s is the place. It’s a down home atmosphere and some nights there’s live music. The staff we have encountered are friendly and helpful.

The food is fantastic and when they say all you can eat, they mean it! The problem is the service is slow coming back and the first plate of all you can eat catfish was three small pieces. I looked at it and immediately asked for my second helping! Lol I love me som catfish and expected more. My son didn’t even get the shrimp he ordered (all you can eat)! However the manager did apologize and compensated us for the delays. We will try it again!

DO NOT EAT HERE, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO EAT!!!!!! Well, we looked at all the reviews and they said wonderful things. I really wanted to eat some catfish. We decided that we would go and give it a try. Boy was that a mistake, I will pay for suggesting that restaurant for years to come. We get there and there was only 2 other tables with people, it took 5 minutes for anyone to even come up to us asking what we wanted to drink. The hushpuppies were ok and the pickles were good. They bring you a lot of hushpuppies, baked beans, coleslaw and pickles/onions (so that you fill up on that and they don't have to bring you a lot of fish for the all you can eat). They have a small menu, which is usually good, so the food should have been good. IT WAS NOT!!!!!!!! The catfish is a catfish, but not the good old American catfish. It had to be, in my opinion, Swai from the Philippines and it was nothing but crust. I got probably 5 bites of fish same with my husband (who happens to be a chef). The baked potato was ok. My husbands french fries were inedible. It took them 30 minutes to bring out the food and we were the only people who wasn't already eating, but get this, another table was set right when we were ordering our meal and they go their food and drinks with in 10 minutes. So we paid $40 for a baked potato, 2 pickles 5 bites of fish and hushpuppies.

Friendly, fast service. The Hush puppies, pinto beans, pickles, and coleslaw showed up fast and were generous portions. The catfish and frog legs were both well done, breading was light and crunchy, Frog legs were tender and both were cooked just right. Fries were hot and crunchy. Reasonable prices and everything was delicious. I’d go again and recommend.

I have ate there twice. The first time I had the catfish. The second time I had the steak. The food was great both times. The hush puppies are the best I have ever eaten. It is a relaxing family atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We didn't have high expectations. I thought everything would just be fried. Instead, we got grilled trout and salmon. The sides were well seasoned and everything tasted super fresh. We really enjoyed the beans, onions, pickles, coleslaw and hush puppies that were just brought to our table. We will be back!
Wheelchair accessibility: The tables where spaced nicely and floors where smooth. You could get in here with a chair, walker or cane with minimal issue.

May visited this location back in the day when it was called skinny. Other than that 1st time here & it was awesum ! Fresh fried catfish with family style sides AYCE , WE were just loving it location just a little off the beating path near Arkansas River & Kerr lake.
