First time visiting was shortly after rona, the menu was limited which like most places we understood. So we chose the other place in town for a couple years. Then late one night we wondered in around 9 after getting home from vacation, thankful something was open. To our surprise they had crab legs so it became our favorite place to enjoy them over all others instantly. After a few trips they removed them from the menu. Adversely effecting our decision to eat there....completely. If I want nachos or ranch with my tortilla chips (said no one ever) after 9 I'll just make them at home. Better mexican food is next door to chilis

I’ve enjoyed this El Patron location for a long time but recent changes have made me want to no longer order here. I wasn’t aware that the menu prices went up, which is fine, however the pick two is more expensive than the pick three was (no longer available)
I think the worst part of my order was the Queso. $7 plus tax for this tiny container, when it used to be much bigger for the medium :( disappointing to say at the very least.

I've been a fairly regular customer for a while now. I understand you are under new management and after last night's experience, we won't be returning.
You revised your menu, and got rid of literally the two things I ever order. Tacos Del Mar, and the Parrillada Mexicana fajitas.
I ended up settling for regular fajitas and then noticed the bullshit microtransaction add ons for everything that once came in the Parrillada Mexicana. Effectively making the price $22.87 instead of the $18.95 like they used to be. The last time I did get the parrillada mexicana, I got TWO tortillas with that giant pile of food and then was charged extra when I asked for more. Never in my damn life have I ordered fajitas and then had to PAY EXTRA for tortillas. That's wild.
I did appreciate the three I got last night, but when I was done with those, I was afraid to ask for more, because I did not want to be charged. I also added Carnitas to my fajitas, which they didn't even add, I had to ask and she brought me a whole plate of carnitas to add myself. Which was fine, just an oversight I guess.
My partner ordered Verde enchiladas. In the past he always asks to have them covered in verde and then asks for a small side of queso to drizzle on top, and I don't think any waiter or waitress has ever gotten his order right. So he just started ordering them regularly, and then orders a side of queso..which no longer exists. Our only options are medium or large. So he went ahead and said large thinking it was still 8 dollars. And we were very unpleasantly surprised you also raise the price of melted cheese to $10. Then when he got his enchiladas, they were DROWNING in verde sauce.
I also want to mention that your white salsa has not tasted the same or even remotely decent the last four or five times we've come in. I kept hoping it was just a bad batch that day and it would be better the next time and that just never happened. Last night it wasn't edible. And that was always my favorite. Your chips last night didn't taste right either. Like they had been cooked in old oil. They tasted burnt and definitely weren't fresh.
My partner Idk almost every single thing we ordered was just not....good.
I understand you're in the business of making money, and if you need it that badly. maybe don't schedule 10 servers on a wednesday night. Because you were so dead last night, your entire staff were just standing around the majority of the time.
The service was great, our waitress last night is one of your best and I have nothing negative to say about her. We still tipped her.
For just myself, I paid almost $30. (before the tip)
My partner paid almost $50 (before the tip) for his meal and two kids meals.
Unfortunately, times are just too tough for any restaurant to raise or adjust pricing this much when their food is clearly suffering, and we will not be returning.
