Nancy Bowenz,

The steak was chewy and overdone. The cabbage rolls were a disappoinment. Service was not good because there was only one waitress. She did great for servicing the whole restaurant. Since they have announced closing so many people want to have that Freddie's experience one more time. My suggestion is just to remember it as it was.

They, like many places, are understaffed. However, while you wish you had water you can hear them wait and cooking staff meeting around and cutting up in the kitchen for very extended times. The food was great! Restaurant was clean.

For those of you who aren't aware Freddie's will be shutting down 12/31 of this year for good due to the passing of the owner. If you have never dined there before I would recommend you try at least once before they are gone.Personally I will dearly miss them.

Everything was good. The serve you a lot of food. It's like a 5 course meal. The filet steak is my favorite it's so tender. All of the steaks are seasoned and ohhhh so good.

Terrible service. The people who sat us were extremely rude and unhelpful. The service was terrible. Our food was under cooked and after reading some of these reviews I don't know how this place is still running. Awful restaurant.

This was not our first time here. We normally order their steaks the K.C strip. It's always been fantastic. However, we wanted to try some other menu options. I got the char burger my hubby got the chicken fried steak. My burger had absolutely no taste to it, the bun was not toasted, and I had ordered tabouli and did not receive it until I mentioned it after seeing I was charged for it. My hubby could not even eat his chicken fried steak, it was so tough he ended up taking it home to our dogs. He never recieved his salad at all. He did not mention it, I would of. Anyway, I highly recommend their steak and hourdorves. But not the burger or chicken fried steak it was terrible. We literally left there and was starving. The staff was great. They always are. Maybe they had a new cook, or the cook had an off night. We just wanted our money back so bad. But kept it respectful and nice.

We love Freddie's and visit once a year when we get into town. I would come out more but it's 1200 miles away. I love the tabouli, cabbage rolls and the smoke sauce for my steaks. I take home bottles of the sauce and tabouli mix to make at home to "tide me over" until the next visit. My steak yesterday was amazing, a beautiful filet cooked medium rare and it melted in my mouth. The service was a little slow, but not horrible, but it was lunch time and there only was one server that I saw at the time. I am on vacation, so I wasn't in a rush anyway. I am always looking to support local businesses and my plan is to always try a family run business rather than a chain when I am out. I have seen some say it is expensive. It's a steakhouse. They usually aren't "cheap". BUT if you just want the basics, a steak, salad and baked potato it's about the same as a chain steakhouse. If you want the experience of the other sides, it is quite a bit more, but you get tabouli, a salad, a relish tray with hummus, a BBQ basket with a rib and BBQ bolognaThen a cabbage roll- all before that juicy steak arrives!

i'm not particularly a fan of any of the starter food but the pork chops are the best i've ever eaten!

Delicious relish and stuffed cabbage with the main dish of steak and fried shrimp. The steak was tender (recommend having the sauce on the side) and yummy. The owners are Lebanese, so expect a great tasting Mediterranean flavor with the side dishes. ??

The place looked. Great setting arrangements for our group. The salad and tabouli was fair. In my salad there was only green romaine lettuce. Nothing else. Ranch dressing was of a lower quality dressing. Didn't want baked potatoes or their large French fries either. Asked if I could have another salad in it's place. Was told no problem. I wanted my steak rare. Sprite no ice. I ordered Freddie's special Steak.7 to 8 ounces.Everyone's food looked delicious. The party members were pleased with their dinner selections. Tasted the bbq bologna . It appeared to be less than a 1/4" thick. Barely snigged. Lots of cheap bbq sauce over it. Also tasted one bbq rib. Meat was dry. Again lots of cheap bbq sauce. My steak was the only thing on my plate. It looked like it was about 1/3 inch thick. It appeared to be barely cooked on both sides of my steak. Cut a small piece of the steak. The steak temperature was cold in the middle of it. Like just been removed from the refrigerator. Took a bite just to make I was not mistaken. First thing I could taste was the large amount of salt on the steak. I could see no other seasoning on it.Requested another steak. Again the steak was the same thickness. This time the steak had less color than the previous steak. Was colder than the previous steak also. No seasoning or flavor was so ever. I wond up not eating the steak. Instead I placed it the trash on the way to my vehicle.Who manages the establishment. Really needs to look at all their cooks knowledge of preparing and cooking food. I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. Never ever would or ever seen a steak go on a plate that. This is totally the management responsibility as well as the cook. Management should know that who they hire can perform the high quality of performance expected out every cook all the time with no excuses what so ever. Very poor management skills is present in this instance. The own also shares responsibility as well. They have the ultimate responsibility of making sure that he turns over responsibility to qualified managers. To have single person from the janitor to the cook to the dishwasher to servers do quality work and watch for potential problems like this before it gets to the customer. As for my recommendations Absolutely NO. Not for their steaks anyway. Not for their special steak anyway.

I wanted to take my friend to a great steak place to celebrate her birthday with a yummy ribeye. We had never been to this restaurant. We like Lebanese hors d'oeuvres so thought we'd try it for a change. Seating was no problem. The waiter was wonderful even though after reading the sign on the door about being short-staffed, he really hustled. We ordered the special, 18 oz ribeyes. My medium rare was more medium well. Hers wasn't bad but both were dry and fairly tasteless. She kept hers and used A1. I traded mine for the filet. It came out medium rare but even that was NOT the quality of meat I'd expect. Both were tough, fairly dry and had more of a sirloin texture. The hors d'oeuvres were also just "meh". Oh well, we'll know better next time. Unfortunately, a little pricey for this under-par experience.

Worst BBQ and chicken fried steak I've had in a long time. Food was barely warm. Ribs were so tough I had to get a doggie bag for the DOG. Fried bologna so old the outside rim was dark and hard. Waitress was friendly, but never came back to ask how was the food or if we needed something else. The person seating us looked like she just got out of bed. Wore t-shirt (tight on overweight body) sandels and shorts. Not professional for a high-priced restaurant. Female waitress wore short shorts (bent over table next to us and displayed herself) male servers wore ragged hem shorts. It may have been a good restaurant once, but in my opinion Gordon Ramsey needs to help them out!! Won't be coming back.

Stopped in after many years and Freddie’s has not missed a beat! They had a sign posted that they were short handed and to please be patient. You would have never known because the staff was prompt and courteous. And the food was SPOT ON POINT!! I have been away for years and I don’t know why. But I am glad I came back. The tabouli and the cabbage roll was just as heaven as I remembered and the steak was amazing with the Smokey sauce.I am back Freddie’s BBQ & Steakhouse. Thanks for a great meal!

Top tier restaurant. Their steak and tabouli is especially good. I got their sirloin special last time I went and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Freddie’s. Definitely cannot go wrong with the Filet either. Really everything they have is bomb! Sometimes a little slow the service and food is always on point.
