I pick up at a facility near by , (I’m a truck driver) otr driver . Don’t let the size of the place fool ya . Definitely has heart .It’s within walking distance from my semi and loading dock. So helpful when I have to wait longer than expected at glass facility

I’ll give you atmosphere of a lower rating only because it was empty. I went late in the afternoon and I like to see a busy restaurant. I’m sure it’s much busier at lunchtime. The food was great, the shrimp or plump and juicy and the staff were very friendly. I would absolutely recommend.

Overall it was good although every time we go they are always out of gizzards. They have a gizzard lunch special but never have them. Wonder why it's on the special menu?

Stopped in on a Saturday for an early dinner. Started off with the cheddar poppers- not impressed, tasted like the ones you buy at Sam’s. I ordered the fish, shrimp and crab cakes. Fish and shrimp were excellent- flavorful breading and cooked perfectly. Crab cakes tasted like imitation meat. I told the waitress and she said these are purchased frozen, then heated. So, while I wouldn’t order those again, the rest of the combo was excellent. Hubs got the chopped brisket sandwich and said that it was good. Fried cherry pie was also excellent. Made fresh and cooked right. Done, but not tough and filled with cherries.

Best waitress we’ve had anywhere in a long time! Family fish dinner fed two adults and two kids easily. Sides were not our cup of tea but the kiddos loved the French fry’s. Will definitely go back. 👍

I was eating when it was 2-3 different restaurants. They have merged some of the best from all of them. I prefer the fish, but the bbq is also good.

Avoid the buffet if you prefer food with flavor..

I have been here before, but today it’s my first time I tried their buffet. It’s really nice fresh different food than their own menu.

Then, the tartar sauce waited for a very long time. And it wasn't all that busy.

This place has some of the best affordable food for to go. All home style and freshly made. My husband and I come here often for to go orders. The food is always one point. The only complaint I have is the order is always a bit messed up. We've had to check out for before we leave and nine times out of ten we always have to tell them they forgot something or another. They always make it right though with little to no issues. Overall this place is beyond worth it for flavor and home cooked food nostalgia. They also always refill your drink if you happen to drink it all while waiting for your food in the lobby. Definitely check it out and give it a chance!

Great shrimp po'boy with succulent large shrimp, remoulade dressing, pickle, onion, tomato, and lettuce on a toasted bun. Perfect side of red beans and rice. If you love Southern/Cajun food, you'll love Sami's Southern Kitchen.
