Love this place. I pretty much order the same item every time. The steak dinner is the best. Way better than all the chain restaurants. The waitres knows exactly what I order and drink all she does is ask if I'm getting the same when I walk in the door. 😀 Great service and great food.
The staff were so pleasant. I was eating when a man came out of the kitchen to sit down and eat on his break. He had something on his plate that I did not see on menu. I told him it looked great, than leaving his food he got up and went into kitchen to make me a plate to try. He talked about up coming changes for the restaurant and was a pleasure to talk to. When i walked out I asked a server if that guy was a head cook or something and she replied "that is the owner"....
I got the catfish and chicken strip combo along with green beans, red beans, and rice and fried bread. I also got gumbo and the food was awesome. I definitely will be back and will recommend to other people, including my friends.
