Walking in feels like stepping back in time—the food tastes just as good as I remember, and seeing some of the same friendly staff who were here when I was a child makes it even more special. “Staff is awesome! Atmosphere is comfortable. Great coffee,tea, wine and beer. Hungry Lotus Asian food truck is unbelievable and other food trucks have been great. Live music is fun and interesting. Lot's of activities, like Trivia, chess club, children's story time and more. The community uses it for all kinds of meetings and just hanging out. McAlester is lucky to have such a great place. See you down there!”

“Not bad. I’m pretty critical of Mexican food since growing up in California. I had street tacos with rice and beans. It could have been a little spicier and the beans seemed runny. The street tacos were authentic and the staff was great. Easy access for trailers. I give it 4/5.”

“Since management changed in early 2024 our satisfaction with place took a nosedive. This is due to new manager policies as staff is wonderful. Our dissatisfaction is due primarily to a lack of understanding around the needs of rural farm customers who purchase stacks of products for livestock feed.

Overall it remains a great place to shop although prices rose by about 50 percent under the new manager”

“I went under previous owners once and didn't go back. Recently tried it and was very impressed. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich and okra. Both were hot and crispy not greasy. The owner visited our table and was open to feedback that the steak needs a little more pepper.”

“We come here as a family for every special occasion. We LOVE this restaurant and the staff is super professional and on top of everything. The sushi is always fresh and delicious… red snapper and white tuna are my favorites. Can’t recommend enough!”

the one on George Nigh Expressway! Good food and you actually get waited on there unlike on George Nigh where they have 10 people standing around looking at you. And it is much easier to access than the one on George Nigh!”

“Cute little 50s style diner with great food. I ordered the breakfast scrambler, and I couldn't finish it all. The biscuits are some of the best I've had. Soft and fluffy, and as big as a plate! Too bad I'm just passing through town.”

“I want to give a shout out to Bob at Arby’s in McAlester Oklahoma who took the time to notice Daisy, my dog, in the car gave her a nice bowl of water for the road and an extra cup with ice water to keep her hydrated during my trip home. Employees make the business. Great job.”
