Finally tried this place last night after another restaurant we were going to was closed. Can’t believe I waited so long because the cazadore especial was the best tasting and fulfilling meal I’ve had from a Mexican restaurant in a while. And the chips and salsa was light and tasty. Will be back for sure and the atmosphere was well lit and open which I appreciated as well as good service with.

I love taking the family here! Its affordable and good food. It's a casual atmosphere that doesn't make me uptight about bringing the kids. We go here in larger groups and get out just as fast as when it's just us.

Ate at this place a while back. Waitress got mad when I ordered horchata to drink. She said she was from Honduras (or some other country down there), NOT from Mexico. So I said, this is a Mexican food restaurant, right? So she says, they don't have horchata, and is all snippy taking our order. So then the owner brings our food, and explains that the waitress is very touchy about people thinking she's Mexican, and that they don't care where anyone is from. I don't see what that's got to do with me ordering a Mexican drink in a Mexican food restaurant. I live in South Texas. Lot of places there have horchata. Anyways, some kind of drama club at this place. If she has a problem with white dudes, she came to the wrong country.

Times like this I wish I had packed the spices in my purse! The place is clean (1pm) staff was friendly and understood everything we said. BUT… the salsas did it come out of a can? Like I can’t place my finger on it but swear that came out of a V8 can! It’s okay to have chunky fresh spicy salsa!! The chips are thick so not dental friendly and not salted. Would have loved some flour tortillas and veggies guess you have to ask for that? I had a soft taco why did it come in tinfoil like a tv dinner? Again SPICE where was the spices at? The meat had no spices what so ever no tomatoes no onions just cheese meat and lettuce. Rice and beans was okay. Husband had enchilada rancheros the cheese was chewy and the meat again was flavorless. Let’s talk about the guacamole…. We can make fun about seeing something like that in a baby diaper but come on this was runny and a funny color! I sniffed it but no way that was going down! That sour cream though was to die for… the drinks were delicious and it was cheap. I won’t be back but if you’re on a bland diet this is the perfect restaurant for you!!

the Machaca Con Huevo was supposed to be beef but it was pork amn a little bland salsa was good chips addictively wonderful service and atmosphere is good I would return but order different

We are new to the area and we’ve been to the other Mexican food across the street a couple of times and enjoyed it but figured we should try out the other local restaurants. We were disappointed.. We arrived hungry, so I assumed that anything would taste good, but I was wrong. The chips were cold and unsalted and tasted kind of greasy. The salsa was runny and very hot. We ordered queso it came out cold or room temperature at the most. Our food came out quickly. We ordered fajitas and a quesadilla. The fajitas were greasy and the flavor was different than we are used to. The beans were the right temperature and good. The rice was dry and room temperature. We won’t be back. Servers were friendly and food was fast.

Had to share my table with about 20 gnats never was offered a refill No one seemed to care I had little bugs landing on my salsa or cheese dip I definitely had a bad experience wasn’t offered a Sopapilla or a to go drink I asked for a different table and no one understood my request Definitely should have went to Abuelita‘s in Shawnee
