If your looking for a place with Flavor & good prices. This place is wonderful. Somebody seated us promptly. I ordered my own custom Sushi. Was very good. Spicy crab & tuna with mango wrapped in seared salmon with ponzu sauce. Hibachi was cooked well with tender meat teriyaki sauce, soft flavorful rice. I'm shocked this place has 4.3 stars. I found the food service and choices wonderful. Sake is not the smoothest. I still enjoyed it. Everybody that i talk to was very friendly & nice. Makes it more of a family feel & warm welcome place to go. The food was hot & fresh. The sushi size portion was good size. Most places you dont get much in the center which leads to tasting mainly rice. If you read all this, i highly suggest stop reading & go try it out for yourself. I don't typically review. I feel this place deserves to be noticed.

Been here twice to pick up online orders. Both times, it was around 40 minutes AFTER the stated pickup time before the order was ready. That's not an isolated problem, it's a poor standard of service.

Will never go back to this place when the survivor we had was been very racist to use and the food was cold and when you try and talk to the manager they tell you their not here and we can call someone for you so this place doesn't care how there employees treat their guest

Wouldn't recommend for vegan choices but I differently found vegetarian options and staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate best they could. Food was delicious and didn't take long to get to the table. Big selection of items especially if you are a meat eater or just vegetarian.

First time to eat here but it's one of my daughter's favorite spots to eat in Shawnee. I had the Shrimp Teriyaki and my daughter had the Steak Teriyaki. Both were delicious! The server was super friendly and the atmosphere is great. I definitely will be going back!

We have been eating at Sakura many times and while most of their food are very good choices. We mostly order their Benton Box Hibachi Salmon which is best, but on the other hand, their Pork Katsu ($18) is Terrible, it's cut so thin that you could read a newspaper if it didn't have the 85 to 90% Breadcrumbs covering the final product. I darn near broke a tooth on the Pork Katsu, it was so over cooked, while I haven't tried the other Katsu Benton Box, I am sure it's probably the same way. Sakura has very good Sushi, all of their Sushi, Tempura, and Hibachi meals are very tasty and I can highly recommend, just stay clear the Katsu Meals and you will have a very pleasant lunch or evening meal!
