I went in there thinking it was just a typical Tuesday night. Boy was I wrong. That staff took me in like I was family. I felt the warmth that their staff has. By the end of my meal. I was singing happy birthday with them to a entirely different table

I had the Birria Tacos. They were delicious and steaming hot. I also had beans and rice. The beans and rice was luke warm. Why do all the Shawnee Oklahoma Mexican restaurants serve Mexican food that is not hot? Armondo was my server and did a great job.

This place caught me completely off guard in the best way. I wasn’t even planning to be in Shawnee, just out on a drive for some self-care when hunger hit. I searched nearby spots and saw they had chile verde, which has been a gamble since moving to Oklahoma. Let’s just say… most places have let me down.
Not here. The chile verde absolutely hits. Flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care, not phoned in or blandly Americanized. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you what it’s supposed to taste like.
The horchata deserves its own shoutout. You can immediately tell it’s fresh made, not that watered-down, powder-mix nonsense so many places serve. Smooth, balanced, and actually refreshing.
On top of the food, the staff is genuinely kind and welcoming, which just seals the deal. I’ll happily make the drive from Broken Arrow back to Shawnee just for this meal. If you’re craving real-deal comfort Mexican food and you’ve been burned before, this spot is worth it. No hype, just solid food done right.

They have stepped up their game from past years! Everything taste great especially the street tacos and shrimp tacos! Presentation is nice too! Always super friendly and tries to get us seated asap!

Flavorful and authentic Mexican food (Street Tacos and Chicken Quesadilla). Waitstaff were prompt and courteous and portions were generous with quality ingredients and no obvious fillers. Price point was good. Small detractor: very limited restroom facilities. If we are back in Shawnee we’ll go back though, no questions asked!
