We used to live in Skiatook, but moved several years ago. Ever since we moved I have been craving the frito pie. My husband and I finally made our way back out, and we were very disappointed!! First, the lady that took our order wasn't too friendly. Second, our food was all cold (I had frito pie with a side of mac and cheese, and my husband got ribs, bologna, and a side of mac and cheese) We got there right when they opened, so I'm not sure how everything could be cold already. We were so upset and disappointed that we drove all the way out there to get cold food. Such a bummer! Atleast now I won't be craving it anymore.

It was a cute restaurant, with very nice staff and speedy service. Potato salad was how grandma used to make it so was a plus, but the sliced brisket was tough, couldn't hardly cut with fork. The green beans had amazing flavor; but had alot of hard bits of green string left on them. Coleslaw was very good. Bologna and Hot links were good, but not anything to write home about. I've heard people say they have good ribs? Maybe I just got the wrong thing.

My family and I have eaten here on and off for as long as they’ve been open. Last night my husband and I called in a to-go order at 7:45. Whomever took our order made sure to ask if we could make it there by 8:00. The pulled pork was too salty to eat and the brisket was way too salty as well. I’m super disappointed as this place has always been my go to favorite barbecue. Super sad about this experience, especially since we paid nearly $40.00 for this dinner. I don’t think we’ll be back.

It's a nice little "out of the way" place in Skiatook, Oklahoma. The meat was very tasty, tender, and great! However, I prefer my barbeque sauce very spicy. But some may prefer a "not hot." I will have to see when they do "burnt ends." That's MY preference!
