Wow what a great place to eat. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was better than mine. Crunchy on the outside soft and warm on the inside. If you're ever traveling on hwy 59 you should try Rowan's.

Rowan's isn't a bad place to stop and grab a bite. The quality, however, has suffered immensely this past year, and continues to spiral downward...The wait staff are friendly and usually very attentive.I didn't really discover the place until about this time last year and it was really good then. But, as previously stated, it has lost some appeal..They can however make an Arnold Palmer by name alone...so that helps...lolWe ran in Wednesday evening, just to not have to cook.Pretty sure I should have stayed home and cooked.I ordered steak tips, which come with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli..The broccoli was a testament to broccoli. One might introduce tarragon or a dash of coriander...perhaps a citrusy overtone..Nope. BROCCOLI.To be fair, the steak tips...well they looked like vomit.

For starters, I love their onion rings. They really are to die for. I had always enjoyed my dining experiences until tonight. It is with a sad heart I write this... I visited this evening with my brother-in-law and his brother. I ordered the steak tips. Maybe it was listed as beef tips. When it was brought out, I tried a bite and it tasted rancid. My bro-in-law saw my face and asked if it was bad. I offered a taste to him and he abruptly spit it out. So did the third guest. The server (not our waitress) was leaving the room and she didn't hear me call to her so I said "Miss!" loud enough for her to hear. I handed the plate to her and we all told her it was bad. A few minutes later the manager came out with the plate and a chip on his shoulder attitude and put the plate in front of me and rather forcefully scowled at me and said it wasn't bad because the meat had come in off the truck the same day and cut the same day and if I didn't like the food I was welcome to not come back. I was horrified and flabbergasted. I have never, ever been treated like that by management, especially before getting to the bottom of the issue. This all took place in front of all the other guests in the dining room. My brother-in-law told him we all tasted it and it wasn't good, and suggested he try a bite for himself. He declined, grabbed up the plate and stormed back to the kitchen. I promptly left and my bro-in-law and his bro finished their meals. I learned later in the evening the manager had come back to the table and wasn't any nicer. None of us will ever go back. You just can't come back from being verbally attacked by top level management, especially out in the open in front of the other guests. I can recommend the onion rings and the cowboy burger. The meatloaf isn't bad if you get it before it starts drying out. They're supposed to be a steak house, but their offerings include only 10oz petite steaks. If you want a real steak, you'll have to go elsewhere. And if you do visit, do yourself a favor and skip the beef tips.

Parking: Very tight parking spots. I tend to park elsewhere so I don't get tangled up or door dinged. There is plenty of parking if they're not busy, but on fri/sat nights, the lot is full. I have seen patrons park on the street and across the street.

We stopped in on our way through town for lunch, and everything we ordered was just wonderful! Best onion rings ever!! The burgers were cooked to order and delicious, and I highly recommend the Monte Cristo. We couldn't resist getting some dessert items at their bakery before we left. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside, and the staff were so nice. Would highly recommend it if you are in the area!

Best onion rings on the planet. We stopped on our way home from Branson, and had a wonderful lunch.Raided their incredible bakery, and brought home some goodies.Stilwell, (Rowan’s), is way too far from us in Texas, but have to go back for those onion rings.

My brother and I went to dinner with Jesse. Jesse ordered the beef tips and when the servers brought out everyone's meal we started to eat and Jesse had a strange look on his face so I asked if everything is ok. He responded back and said no. So I asked him what the issue was and he said the food was tips and had an off taste so I tried them. My brother and I tried them. We both thought the tips were spoiled. Jesse requested a server to take the plate back to the kitchen. Explain to him that he thought the food was spoiled. Then shortly after that Dale one of the managers came out put the plate in front of Jesse. Explain to him that the food wasn't bad and that if he didn't like it that he can leave and never come back. So Jesse got up left. My brother and I both tried to explain to the manager that we taste the food and also thought it was bad tasting and then he proceeded. Explain that Jesse has been rude to the service in the past and I've never seen Jesse route to anybody at that restaurant. I explained to Dale that I thought he handled the situation wrong and that I thought it was unprofessional. My wife and I have been freaking flyers at Rowan's for the past several months and I've been a freaking flyer for the past few years. I do not plan on every returning after the way they treated my brother-in-law. My issues with the manager Dale. I don't think it should have never came down the way he did it or server was great. Personally I enjoyed the food. I just can't go back with the way he treated my family member.
