We stopped by Roxy’s BBQ for a late-night Sunday meal, and overall, the food was pretty good — definitely hit the spot for a last-minute dinner. The location is great with plenty of space, and the patio looks like it would be a perfect spot to sit when the weather cools down.
What left us a little disappointed was the BBQ sauce. As any BBQ lover knows, the sauce can really make or break your meal, and unfortunately, Roxy’s only offered one option — a sweet sauce. We were hoping for something with a little more kick or variety.
While we enjoyed the food (especially the Tahlequah Twinkie) and atmosphere, we still prefer Rib Crib for their wider selection of sauces and flavors.

If you've not been here I highly recommend! The meats are wonderful and very tender. The Texas Twinkie is to die for! The jalapeno poppers are delicious. The barbecue beans are as good as any I've eaten at Wright's BBQ or JL's BBQ . I do have a couple negatives though. They do not season their curly fries or onion rings at all. I highly recommend you bring your own barbecue sauce. I prefer a sweeter barbecue sauce, but this barbecue sauce tastes very unnatural. It does not resemble barbecue sauce of any flavor that I have ever tasted anywhere. I do believe it has cinnamon in it ( it's very overpowering). However they make it, it is not good at all. Obviously, someone somewhere does like it though. In my opinion it's definitely an acquired taste and I wish they had multiple options with their sauce like other establishments offer. We opted to take home 90% of our food so that we could use any other barbecue sauce. Thankfully the meats stand alone with their flavor and you can eat them without sauce. We will definitely be returning, but we will be packing our own bottle of sauce LOL.
Edited to add: My daughter dana and I don't even like the same types of barbecue sauce, and neither one of us liked it.

This place was not good. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and instead of pulled pork it was a big glob of fat they tried to hide under the bun. I got brisket that was also full of fat and the smoked bologna was an odd color of pinkish green. The BBQ sauce there looks like brown gravy and had no flavor whatsoever. Nice place and the service was great. Food was bad.

Server Chloe was awesome. Manager is rude. Food was just awful. Pork tasted like straight charcoal. Baked beans just tasted like jarred jalapeño juice. Not on the menu but they have fried onion strings. Those were so overcooked that you couldn't bite into them. Nobody finished their meal. Shelled out 100 and tipped our server and the manager chick came out with an attitude. This place is gross and they should have kept it a dive bar. DT Logistics dudes pulled in already drunk. One walked out even more drunk on the phone talking about pew pewing some dude inside and we jetted. Trashy place through and through but servers are super polite.

Starting off with a positive. The potato salad was delicious.
Unfortunately, this is by far the worst bbq I’ve ever had. The chopped brisket looked like cat food covered in gravy, and wasn’t very flavorful either. The ribs were very thin and overcooked. Half my fried pickles were’t fully cooked and had raw batter. Server was great and very attentive.
Was not worth the $45 I spent.

The food and the service were excellent. Although a little pricey compared to some BBQplaces in Rogers Arkansas. A+ for the motorcycle parking!

Upon arrival, noticed that it was a fairly new construction, and as it turned out the site had only been open about 6 months. Walking up the stairs, the porch is a huge outside dinning area. Proceeded to enter the main building and we were greeted by the hostess, who had tears in her eyes as she was surprised to see us. Oh forgot to mention that she is our granddaughter, who is attending NSU. We haven't seen her in about a month, so her mom and dad and the two of us and her dad's mother Nana as we all call her drove to Tahlequah from Tulsa to surprize her, and have dinner at Roxies BBQ.inside was huge as well with plenty of seating. The owner of the business came to our table and introduced himself, as we did and told him who we were and why we had come, which he thought was awesome. Took an instance liking to him. I could go on, but I won't. All I can say is make it a point to take a road trip and go a visit it, you won't be disappointed.
