There only appears to be one register, so I had to wait in line behind an entire family ordering lunch just to pay for my to-go order. But the food is great, especially for Tahlequah. And everyone is very nice. But they usually forget at least one item every time I place a large to go order. Today, it was dressing.
Vidalia’s Café is a delightful deli/café in downtown Tahlequah. They have a large menu of meats to sweets, soups salads spuds and chili to chocolate cake. Something for everyone.
I went big with the Cambiano Sandwich: ham, salami, peperoni, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto, garlic aioli, sandwiched between grilled rosemary schiacciato bread, (In Oklahoma schiacciato is pronounced “squished”). A magnificent combination of flavors with a thick stack...

Food is okay but expensive for what you get. We were especially disappointed in the “cheddar nachos” for kids. Absolutely pitiful. My daughter received a handful of crushed tortilla chips with partially melted shredded cheese thrown on top. She ate one bite, pushed them away, and said “is this what I was supposed to get?” Not sure about the other kid options, but this one needs to be taken off the menu.
