This little quaint restaurant is a must stop, eat, and enjoy place. Every item I have tried on the menu is delicious and with home cooked pleasure.

Nice ,clean establishment, just a couple streets off the main road. Mama Josie was very friendly. You can pick your meal off the menu or do like i did and ask for a plain egg and bacon sandwich. So if you're hungry stop by

Homemade chicken fried steak, homemade mashed potatoes with white cream gravy, and a vegetable medley was fantastic! We even got some warm chocolate pudding as a desert. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Tried Josie’ today for lunch. One of the best burgers I have ever had. My wife got the cheese enchiladas, they too were great. Both were made fresh and portions were huge. The ladies that work there are super friendly. A true down home cafe feel. We will be back.

Just a lil town with a cafe view of it's time serving it's community. Enjoyed the talk with the owner and her sister. Best double bacon cheeseburger on the Oklahoma side of the Red River with a great selection on the menu and great pricing period... Keep up the great cooking and we'll be back again this week and again.. 👍🏽🤙🏽👍🏽🤙🏽👍🏽🔥🔥

Stopped here with my two kids (5 and 7) because of the great reviews- the short of it is that we were ignored by the waitress for a full five minutes before we took the hint and left. Not recommended if you’re a traveler.

My seven year old was *so* excited to visit a state he hadn’t been to before- Oklahoma! :) We were visiting Wichita Falls and his top priority was to go eat breakfast in Oklahoma one day so he could tell his friends at school about it.

I picked Mama Josie’s because of the location off the highway and the positive reviews.

We came in around 11:00AM on a Sunday morning and there were three of the six or so tables occupied, all with obvious locals who chatted familiarly with each other and the one waitress.

I looked around for a “seat yourself” sign, and didn’t see one. There was only one 6-top and two 2-tops available, so looked waited for the waitress to give us direction.

I said good morning to the waitress, who was understandably busy. She gave me a curt “good morning” and continued bringing drinks to one of the tables.

I patiently hovered with my kids against the wall, waiting to be directed where to sit, as the waitress went back and forth to the different tables.

After 2-3 minutes, the waitress still hadn’t acknowledged us. Some of the other patrons started glancing at us sympathetically. I smiled at the waitress each time she passed, sure that she was about to approach us or tell us she would help us in a minute.

Each time she walked by without making eye contact.

Keep in mind, this is a tiny place….She passed within inches of us each time she passed us, so she definitely knew we were there.

After a full five minutes of being actively ignored, I approached the waitress with a friendly smile, still half-hoping there was just a misunderstanding, and said, “ It seems like you’re very busy, would it be better if we went somewhere else?”

She threw up her hands and said, “You can do whatever you want!”

Thoroughly embarrassed and confused, I led my kids out as they asked “why aren’t we eating here?” What’s wrong?”

Not recommended unless you’re a local.

Very dated. It probably was a nice place back in the 1950's. I had a big fat bacon cheeseburger and fries. They brought a whole bottle of ketchup without me even asking. They checked on me twice during the meal, and at the end, asked me how it was. Friendly people. One word of caution, Do NOT go into their restroom, you have been warned.
