We went there several times a year over the past 20 years. Food was always great and fresh. HOWEVER, last time we went, I didn't even get to finish 1 piece of fish due to cockroaches. I understand it happens in almost all restaurants. But 5 were spotted in 1 visit (on buffet, table, and wall). I told an employee, but they didn't seem concerned. It was very disappointing due to it being one of our favorite go-to places for us as a couple, with friends, family, and large groups. Due to them being open only 2 days per week, I don't think it'd be to difficult to do a deep clean and pesticide treatment.

A few of the items could have used a little more salt for my taste, but if you like fresh, clean, great tasting, perfectly fried fish, this is the place for you. The potato salad was great, and the baked beans were as well(though I've never eaten them with peppers in them before, they were a nice addition). The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was chill. Nice elbow room. Big, open space.

It was my first time at this place! Was I in for a pleasant surprise!!! In hard to please with catfish, but this place did it!!! If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend it!!!

This was my first time coming to fish tales, I loved the catfish, the shrimp, and the chicken tenders.
I would highly recommend trying the shrimp in particular as it was very good.
Also everything that was served there was NOT over fried which is something I have noticed that alot of seafood restaurants seem to do, but not fish tales.
So in conclusion, I would highly recommend this place to my friends, family, and ppl in the community who are into seafood like me.
I take my mother here at least once a month. More than worth the 40 minute drive! So much more than just catfish.
